That's the way I feel. They want us to be out of their lives, then let's get out. We can buy our damn oil elsewhere.

With stupid conservation groups wanting everything blocking offshore drilling and Politicians buying into that ****, Oil is always going to be tied up in the west. Were always going to rely on a foreign country for it.

I had read, though not sure how true it is, that it's cheaper for us to import oil rather use our own.

I would much rather we use alternative sources of power when we can.

Pfft. I ran out of oil. Won't be delivered until Friday. Snow on Thursday.

If you want to keep something cold, you're welcome to leave it on my kitchen table.

Do you have a wood stove? Friend of mine used to have a house (well, his mom did) that was heated by oil and he said the oil costs were ridiculous. Bought a wood stove and burned wood pellets for heat instead.

I'm in my 40's so shut up...LOL.

In hindsight, IMO, your 30's is the sweet spot in your life...I was in the best shape of my life in my 30's, was starting to financially earn a good salary after being entrenched in my field, and more wisdom begins to creep in.

Fun exercise: after being in your 30's for a few years, reflect back on things you did/said in your 20's. I'm only speaking for myself, but when I looked back at my 20's when I was in my 30's, I recognized a lot of arrogance and hubris. The level of self awareness in your 30's is eye opening.

You should be able to get emergency oil delivered before then. In Mass I know they're required by law to.

Thank you for your concern. I don't know if Maine has those laws, but I leave that kind of help for the people who really need it. I can get by.

I rent this house and it has no pellet stove. Excellent option though. If I ever opted to buy this place, a stove (pellet or traditional) would be my first upgrade.

At least it's not below zero this week! :lol

It was really cold these past few weeks. Colder than December should be. I expected it to run out next week, but it burned up too fast.

Fuel for a stove is cheap. However, buying oil is cheaper than buying a stove.

Yeah I totally get that. There's a lot I'd like to do differently, but I'm sure it's the same with anyone. This decade I plan on starting a family, so there's that to look forward to.

I hate Christmas so hard this year. Called out a family member for being nasty and managed to piss off most of my family. 2016 continues to deliver.

Sorry to hear. Those situations are always difficult. Just realize that this experience will only matter for a temporary amount of time. 5 years from now it shouldn't be as big of a deal. Hang in there.
