Not being able to sleep in on Saturdays anymore. I don't know what the hell is going on, but I just can't get back to sleep anymore once I wake up.

I've gotten into the habit up waking up earlier than normal during the weekend. Part of me likes it because the house is quiet so I get quality alone time :lol but if I can't take a nap in the afternoon then it sucks.

This is how it starts, doesn't it? Won't be long until...

Since we were talking about eBay auctions a page or two back, here's a little story:

I was just bidding on an item and there's still a BIN listing for the same item in the same condition for $400 with free shipping. The auction I was bidding in for the same item started at $9.99 and went all the way up to $360 + $60 shipping... What was the point in bidding? :huh If you want the item that badly and are willing to spend that kind of money, why not go for the BIN listing instead of spending more money? Again, elitists. :cuckoo:

I guess it's time for more sad pugs. :lol

How did the auction winner spend more money? $390 < $400.

Hate to break it to you, but as you get older, you'll start to wake up earlier...and fall asleep earlier. You can probably try and delay this by purchasing room darkening shades.

Used to be a night owl...not anymore.

I hate Math too LOL.

Last Friday I stopped at Noodles and Company on the way home from work to pick up some mac n cheese for my daughter who was ill (mac n cheese is her favorite comfort food, plus Noodles and Co. is her fave as well). Order came to $6.77. I gave the clerk $10.77 initially, then added $1 so I could get a $5 bill back. I guess she didn't enter the "tender" into her register. I KID YOU NOT she could not make change/do the math in her head, and was looking for a calculator the whole time. Even after I told her how much change I should have gotten back, she needed to confirm it on the calculator.

One of many things that I really hate is not being able to stroll down the sidewalk without walking past at least one cloud of cigarette smoke... I can't stand the stuff.

I miss the days after I got out of High School and being able to stay up to 3AM and sleeping to 11.

:duff

I miss marathon gaming sessions. And hanging out with friends at bars/clubs...then going to 24 hour diners afterwards to get something to eat. Then wasting the next day away recuperating.

Yeah, I'm with you. It's their right to put carcinogens in their body and slowly kill themselves...but it's also our right NOT to have to breathe the stuff in.

:goodpost: :exactly: Another thing that bugs me is how much money people put into the stuff. Granted it's their right to invest money in cigarettes, I can't fathom why people would do so in an area where you could inhale just as much smoke simply standing by the street, LOL.

I have a friend that smokes like 30 cigarettes a day.
We cant watch a 2 hour movie straight because she has to pause and smoke twice while watching

I have a friend who lives in an apartment complex, but he lives in the "Smoking Allowed" building. He doesn't smoke himself, I can always smell it when I walk in and I cough up a storm so that the residents can hear it. I think apartment complexes should have x-rays of what your lungs can look like after smoking for years tacked to the hallways. Maybe they'd get less smoking clients.

Was the only apartment available in the smoking allowed building?

My next door neighbor rents out some of his rooms in his townhouse. Two years ago he had a tenant who would smoke outside on the deck CONSTANTLY. My three kids all have asthma, and we basically were unable to use our deck the entire time this dude was living there. Bought brand new windows for my townhouse that year and couldn't open them in the spring for some fresh air otherwise the smell of smoke would get in the house.

My house has been smoke free for 8 years now. After living with smokers all my life, and then not having to anymore... it's hard to believe I ever lived like that.
