Some hospitals even paint words above the roof of their surgical rooms to see if people see those words.... i mean, when you have hospitals trying to show a person can have an out of body experience....

An act of creation might involve purposeful rearrangements of the constituents of nature, but saying that a higher power made it all begs the question of who made the higher power. If you say that there is an ultimate power, above all others, because you have to start somewhere, then why isn't the extremely large fact of the observable universe a good enough somewhere?

Thomas Aquinas was pretty thorough with his arguments for God's existence. He knew it couldn't be done, logically. He concluded that nature was comprehensible by reason, but to understand God (who was beyond nature) Man's only recourse was faith.
