Whats the point of having any laws? People run red lights all the time. Does that mean there shouldn't be laws against it?

Why do u think they had to put cameras to catch people.

What good are laws if they are not enforced. What good are laws if they cherry pick who gets harsher punishment and who gets community service lol

What laws do you want?

Laws and access are two different things. The access to firearms of that scale needs to be restricted period, and until they aren people will continue to be killed in the numbers they are in today's day. All this ******** about crazies finding another is just ********, because they don't in places where firearms are not accessible.

Can you stop all the crazies, no, but even if you stop one, it's worth the 59 lives you just saved

I was in Vegas and left that morning, and I'm so pissed that the US still tolerates that ****. Constitution my ass, it's all about money.

You betrayed the Lol.

At what scale? I agree the bump fire shouldn't be legal, but if you want to blame anyone, blame Obama since it got the green light under his administration.

I love when all the bleeding hearts come out of the woodwork only during these mass shootings but don't let out a peep about the holocaust going on in Chicago on a daily basis... with ILLEGAL firearms. You only get all hyped up during these mass shootings, of which are a very small sample of gun violence in this country.

As for money... did you really drink the Jimmy Kimmel kool-aid? :lol

The gun industry is huge certainly, but where is this money funneling to that you believe it has the influence to stop the banning of firearms? California and NY both have restrictions that aren't anywhere else as far as I know in terms of capacity and AR's not being able to be reloaded without breaking the gun down. Local law makers can do whatever they want as long as they have the votes.

How would you feel about us restricting the first amendment in the same way? Should the government infringe upon your speech and you cannot say certain things without a jail sentence?

All this talk is dumb emotion, and policy shouldn't be based on such. It's completely idiotic to me as to why people want a police state where the government has all the power over the people.

The government already has all the power. If we were in an alternate reality, and the government was oppressive and totalitarian, do you really think a militia of handgun owners would be able to stop armed soldiers with state of the art weaponry, and armored tanks? :lol

But, I digress, responsible, legal gun owners should not be punished for the shortcomings of others. Why put everyone on trial for evils of a select few?

Well actually yes. You're not taking into account the percentage of soldiers who will not follow unconstitutional orders? You add them and the Tens of Millions of gun owners it would be a hell of a battle.

That's exactly what it is. I posted earlier about every day ordinary ways that people die. How many people who are up in arms about this shooting smoke? 7 Million people die each year from smoking. 890000 of those from second hand smoke.https://www.who.int/mediacentre/factsheets/fs339/en/

Gun violence has actually been on the decline since the 80s and now seem centralized to mostly inner cities where their illegally bought.

People say there's no reason to own an AR, but then you read a story like this.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/oklahoma-man-uses-ar-15-kill-three-teen-home-intruders-n739541

It's also amazing how shootings aren't as common. There are millions of firearms owned by people of America. My grandfather himself has some 75ish various shotguns and repeaters.

I was thinking about that. It's also funny all the people calling Trump a Fascist want firearms banned... isn't that like the worst thing to do in a Fascist regime? :lol

BUT MUH NARRATIVE!

Hundreds of millions of guns and we might get one or two of these a year. It's tragic of course, but you can't legislate against human will. Removing firearms is this falsehood that criminals and the mentally ill will abide by the same honor system of not committing acts the same way as when firearms were allowed... except the public will be completely at the mercy of them with no protection and will have to entirely rely upon the Police state.

Something else amazing about gun stats. When they give you a figure about how many are killed by guns each year. 2/3rds of those are suicides.

Yep, and stats show we've actually been in decline in gun homicides since the 80s. But it's politicized due to these extreme and sickening circumstances.

57 people were killed in Chicago last month... where's the the tears for those people?

Yeah. Blame Obama. I remember him pushing these.

Jesus Christ.
