Guys, your basing your experience on your OWN very short timeline. Read some history, and understand what happens when the government wields all the military power and the populace does not....it's all written down to read.

It is currently happening in many countries around the world. Just because you personally live in a country and time of relative peace and security does NOT mean human nature has changed. Or that things could not be changed in a heartbeat.

If a nuclear weapon m went off in Quebec, and the government decided to restrict all travel in and out of your country, limit your purchase or goods and services and curtail you right to protest.....what would you do? You think your brooding contempt will change a government that's decided to crack down on its people's freedom?

Learn from History, the issue of gun violence in America pales in comparison to the death and violence perpetrated on the people of history by their own government...

I get what you are saying but disagree, we are talking about civilized countries in the 21st century, not Libya or Rwanda. Almost like you're preparing just in case, that T1000's take over, and in the meantime while everyone waits for that rainy day, hundreds of civilians are killed at the hands of their own people every day because they can. Any way I get it, this is never ending debate so I'll toss in the towel.

And for the record if a nuclear bomb went off in Quebec, the roads would be an improvement, God damn Montreal is gong show

Ok so and I'm not trying to be condescending at all, but you are saying you need the guns to ensure democracy is upheld. If that is the case, then why is that only an issue in the U.S.? The large religious and social divide? This I would agree is probably the largest in the world, if that is what you believe to be the case

What do you mean only the U.S? Look at history. Look at the 10s of millions of people that have been killed in Russia, Germany, China, Africa because the people had no way to rise up against their government. Not to mention we are one of the few countries that rose up against a foreign power and overthrew them gaining our independence. That is what our second amendment is about. It's not about hunting, or target shooting, or skeet shooting. It gives us the ability to stand up to a corrupt government and over throw it.

I am just answering a question in earnest since the poster seemed to genuinely want to know why some people so strongly defend the 2nd amendment.

If the only reason you ask is to poo poo and honest answer, it's better not to ask and remain uninformed about someone else's reason for their actions.

We got a policy here if you call out more than 4 times without a note, you cannot use anymore sick time without a notice for 6 months. So of course certain workers abuse that to the limit.

Parents who interrupt my prep time to tell me their kid doesn't think my class is fun because I ask them to do stuff.

Grrrrrrrr.

When I was tutoring over the summer, a few middle school brats complained that my class wasn't fun, because I didn't smile and joke around with them. I then told them that I wasn't paid to entertain, and if they wanted fun, they could have it after class when they go home.

Missing the UPS guy cause work, then getting home to find your other package from usps delivered to wrong address and tracking says delivered. I had a key in my mail box open the locker find someone else's package, go deliver it to them see if they have mine, they have a key only to find that it is the same key to the locker I opened. Also had letters for 6 different addresses that I delivered after getting off work. Wow what a FN day.

Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't know statements couldn't be complaints or complaints couldn't be statements, I stand corrected. The thread title is things I hate and he finished the threads title with people who complain so to me it seems like a complaint.
