The idiots planning our 10 year High School Reunion. A Jewish Community Center Camp in the middle of the woods? (and no I didn't go to a Jewish School) It's where we had a field trip in like 8th grade where they make you catch each other when you fall backwards and hold hands while you cross a log over a river.

Literally no one I've talked to wants to go. Worst venue in history. I told my mother and she started laughing hysterically. Whoever planned this still has the mind of a child.

Trust me, it isn't.

We all went there, we know the hell it is. It's a day camp for children.

The notice went up a few days ago. Out of a class of 500, 3 people have rsvp'd. :lol It's probably going to be canceled.

Didn't go to my 10 year reunion. I gladly passed on the opportunity to experience multiple times over in one night the kind of conversation I hate having.

Oh, and btw, it's not booked out. Meaning we'd be sharing it with about a thousand children. :lol That's an important detail.

:lol oh ok, yeah kids, sex and drugs don't mix. You should propose a splinter event - if you could be bothered (I know I wouldn't).

I seriously considered saying something on Facebook but I'd be offending a few people I've known a long time including my next door neighbor. She was one of the main planners.

Never went to mine either. Seems to me reunions are good for sorting out who ended up making the most money (ie not me) and who ended up breeding with Lorelei Pond (not me again).

someone who organises a drug-binge orgy at a kid's camp is pretty messed up.

Yea it will just be another **** measuring contest. It's funny because out of about the 60 people on my FB that I went to HS with, in all honesty, about 5 are using their college degrees. The rest are in massive debt and work at some hipster cocktail bar or coffee shop in Philly. :lol

My ex is over 100k debt, and just bought a house she's finding out had way more problems than she figured.

my reunion is coming up next year. I was supposed to graduate in 2004 but i was held back one year, ended up graduating 05.

I will probably not go because of the reasons Lejuan posted, Plus they will all make fun of the way I look now, so F-- that.

But I'll say i would be curious to see if any of the girls I went to school with are still single, hooking up on reunions sounds like a lot of fun :lol

Facebook is great for making yourself feel good when looking at all the ****s from school :lol

My father keeps saying I need to go back to college. I show him the posts people make about how they've ruined their lives because they're in 80k debt and don't even want to use their degrees.

A girl I know went for nursing, first day on the job realized she couldn't handle gore. Degree and 4 years completely wasted.

I learned to pilot helicopters in about 6 months by comparison, the job markets wide open because most pilots were trained in Vietnam and are reaching retirement age, and it's easy to pull down over 100k a year.

So that's what you do? pilot? holy s- that's pretty awesome.

but you are only high school graduate?

Yep. If you have good reflexes and enough money, becoming a pilot is pretty simple. It's mainly about building your PIC (Pilot in Command) hours.

I was lucky enough to get my private license below the required hours. Usually it's 40 before you can get a check ride but I did it in 34. I honestly chalk it up to playing as much Battlefield Vietnam as I did. The general idea of how to move the cyclic in order to control the helicopter still translated well for me. There's obviously a lot more to it, but that went a long way. You also need some fixed wing time and a commercial rating before you can make money though.
