"You go by all the scientific stuff you want to, I'm going by the word of god" :lol

Switched off at that point. Kid seems to have turned out well despite his dickwad parents. That's a plus.

that's what I was thinking, specially if they a munching on human food lol :)

Maybe it's simply what they eat. If you feed them high end food, it's made with veggies too. My dog couldn't eat grains, so I fed him natural foods and wild foods. Sometimes right before it was poo time, he let one out.

That's good Christian parents for ya.

I think any parent has the right to flip their **** if their kid ends up that way. Everyone has a free choice on what they want for their own lives, though.

When I win an buy-it-now auction on ebay, pay immediately after winning, and the seller messages me to say he listed the item at the wrong price and wants me to pay more money to get it or he'll refund what I paid.

That's ridiculous, he's obligated to sell it to you because you paid for it. Report him to Ebay's customer service.

I'm waiting for him to confirm he's going to ship it. He keeps saying he wants to apologize and relist it if I don't want to pay extra. I haven't had any trouble with ebay in a long time. I guess I was due.

He refused to send the item then refunded my money. I'm glad I didn't lose any money but I'm pissed that he is allowed to do refuse to ship. Ebay even says in their resolution center that they can't make anyone ship an item. WTF? You list an item, I win the auction and pay, you ship the ****ing item. I filed a complaint with eBay and have to wait 7 days to leave him negative feedback.

The kid was trying to tell his mother it wasn't a choice he'd made. She couldn't accept it :dunno

Well, that's highly debatable. The fact is, that nature gave him a man's body with man's sex organs for reproduction with a female. So, it's indicative that he did make a choice somewhere down the line to be gay :dunno. Generally speaking, though, you'd be hard-pressed to find many American parents who'd be accepting of their children coming out of the closet. Religious notions aside, most people in the U.S. just aren't progressive in that regard - and even the mother's reaction (as distasteful as it was) was more of a reflection on the culture than anything else.

Yeah, the mother reacted horribly. But, I also kept thinking that the son was such a d*ck-wad, to secretly record and publicize a personal confrontation with his mom on YouTube. What she said could have been in a fit of anger, and I'd find it hard to believe that any parent could easily disown their own flesh-and-blood child on a whim.

In arguing about 'nature' you're presuming that sexual orientation is determined by purely selfish reproductive aspects of biology. You have to accept that before you can go anywhere near the notion of choice. As regarding culture, there are plenty of cultural practices that I find miserable in their adverse effects on the human condition and the love a parent can have for their own child. Homophobia is one of them. On the point of recording and broadcasting a private moment, it's not something I would have done... but what do I know? I haven't had my own mother condemn my sexual orientation as an abomination of god's law.

As I understand it, Yankees fans don't choose to be the way they are either.

(Not that there's anything wrong with that.<----renowned Red Sox fan magnanimity)
