Dave, greatly to his credit, lifted my infraction, given my another mod, for calling out homophobic bigotry. I disagree with Dave that merely reporting problem posts is sufficient because it doesn't send an immediate message of public solidarity.

I should just delete the above comment, but I'm going to point out what I've now told Star Puffs 3 times - the infraction was NOT for confronting bigotry. It was for ignoring a mod and technically this was not the case which is why the infraction was withdrawn.

As I've said many, many times - responding to trolls is NOT the way to handle rule breaking (racism/bigotry of any kind IS rule breaking).
