I'm loving this figure. Can't wait till mine ships!

Would have been cool if they'd included the sheath for Ice, too. Does anyone have any good images of the actual prop? I know he draws Ice from a sheath in the beheading scene in the very first episode, but so far my Google image searches have let me down.

Yeah, the Ice sheath seems to be wrapped in a wolf pelt.

So was that the pelt Tywin burned after melting down the sword? The sheath pelt? I had assumed it was either (A) a purely symbolic gesture of his victory over the Starks, (B) part of Robb's cloak, or (C) actually Grey Wind's pelt. But it makes more sense if it's the Ice sheath. Because then it's both logical and symbolic.

Just watched the beginning of the first episode - so good. IMO, the first scenes are some of the strongest and most compelling of the entire series so far. At some point I'll have to start watching again from the start.

The sheath would have been a nice addition to the exclusive and helped to complete Ice - it's not a sword he can carry on his belt after all.

i have seen a custom ver of book Ice for sale that someone made a sheath for that looked like the one is show. will have a look for it again.

completely offtopic kinda but i would love a young ned and robert 1/6 two pack so much....!:clap

Would you buy them flowers? Would one of them get jealous of the other? ;)

:rotfl !

i plan on re-watching s1 once i get the Ned figure. feel like i will appreciate it so much more now. enjoying current season and im back on the book bandwagon again, making my way thru clash of kings.

the huge world of fire and ice book has been the most fun to read, the art is incredible and i really enjoy just picking it up and reading at random, flip it open see a image that captures my attention and start reading. good times.

if they did a roberts rebellion prequel i honestly think i would prefer it animated. big budget, would be amazing. tho the guy that plays Rollo in Vikings i can see as a young Ned maybe.

Hold on a second... There are pictures in the books? Never seen/held any of them in person, had no idea about that.

The World of Ice & Fire: The Untold History of Westeros and the Game of Thrones by George R. R. Martin | 9780553805444 | Hardcover | Barnes & Noble

but no pics in the standard paperback or hardcover books in the series. most of the art is in the above or in the world of fire and ice calendars. in the above you see young robert and tywin i.e. very cool. get it, really.

Made you guys some reference screen grabs in case anyone is interested on any paint touch-ups to Ice or Ned's beard.

Dammit, one of the tips on the hilt of the normal sword broke off, supeglue came to the rescue though and it doesn't look too bad. I might ask for a replacement if it happens again though.

Anybody pick up the 14" iron throne replica? I have seen some articles saying it is 1/6th, just wondering if it looks ok with 1/6th figures on it before I spend $300 on it.

crap, never mind... I waited too long and it sold in two seconds.

Which one are we talking about here? The unlicensed version? I thought that one claimed 19" in its specs. The Dark Horse I thought was 14" but is long sold out and well over $500 aftermarket when I last saw it.

Just edited my post, saw one second hand for $300 but it sold in seconds after that...

It was the official one, moot point now I guess but still would like to see some figure on one.
