We just call it snuff or dip in the U.S. It's most commonly (and stereotypically) used by rednecks. Being from Arkansas, I have seen my share of rednecks have rotten or missing teeth from putting dip in their bottom lip.

The only way in which the figure looks acceptable, was at low ISO " It is not a figure that I recommend.

Maybe you're joking, but if you're not... No offence, but don't blame the figure for lack-lustre photos. None of the recent photos you've posted have appropriate white balance - maybe you're using auto WB? Maybe you're shooting under one type of light with WB setting for another. None of what's wrong with your photos (including the ones posted to other threads) have anything to do with ISO.

It took me all but a few seconds to shoot this one.

I gotta ****** photo for you right here

Nice shot Pixelpiper, It takes me more time to take photos, I'm not a photographer. Apart from the pictures, is a figure who personally don't like it.

That's cool if you don't like the figure, but usually folks will mention what it is about a product they don't like. There are quite a few posts in this thread with criticisms about various aspects of the product, but overall, just like the Tyrion release before it, it's received overwhelming praise.

I'm also not a full time photographer and I take plenty of poor photos and with poor lighting, especially those taken with a cell phone. But if I'm trying to make a good picture, I'll put a bit more effort into it. With enough effort, it doesn't matter how bad or ugly something is, it's still possible to make a beautiful photograph.

I don't think it's fair to come into a thread and say (I'm rephrasing here) "it's not possible to take a good picture of this figure because the figure stinks." Different words, but it's the sentiment I got from that message.

Picture wars :D Mine doesn't look like the ones from the last page that are in question at all. Not sure why lol

But as everyone has said, it looks way better in person. Some angles are spot on.

So being new to GOT and ThreeZero is this figure worth a try? Price is good..want to get my feet wet on this stuff..

is the ice sword on this figure about 9 inches?

no, its a lil bigger see page 95, more like 10. the letter opener is 9 and 3/4 inches. comparison pics on pg 111. they are pretty damn close...

and completely off topic but threezero shared a Hannibal nbc tv show image.. so hope this means they have license. got a thread goin in horror section.

I'm far from an expert, but I am pretty sure snuff is not quite the same stuff. It's based on tobacco and it is moist and you put it in your mouth but still not the same stuff. :)

That's the obvious choice for display, but most of the collectors can't have it like that since the ****ing sword isn't available to us. Kinda stupid if you ask me.:slap

To be honest i have the exclusive and probably won't display the sword which he had in one scene or the cloak which he only had in the pilot. Nice option to have but not that big a deal IMO.

Seriously guys if you love Game of Thrones you'll want this guy if your a 1/6 collector. It 'IS' Hot Toys standards and does look absolutely incredible amongst the rest of your range. It is a bit strange collecting TV Series icons but Game of Thrones will go down as one of the best entertainment pieces Movies/TV period.
