After watching the trailer a few times it looks like Oberyn is only wearing leather for the fight not armor.
Edit: he does have armor around the shoulder.. brownish color.

I actually much prefer his yellow outfit. Love that design. The armor is great too though, and would be the logical choice since it could include his spear as an accessory.

Agreed about Brienne. I like her new armor a lot more than her old version.

I haven't seen the trailer yet so i dont know what they went with, but from what I picture in the head frombthe books is awesome.

I don't believe Oberyn wore armor in the books for the battle. He's not a knight-style warrior.

He did. He was lightly armored, but not like the medieval-esque knights we see in the show.

When I say "armor", I'm just referring to his duel attire. In the trailers he is indeed wearing what looks like leather. No mail/plate.

This new guy playing The Mountain this season - Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - is the "shortest" one they've had so far (he's "only" 6'9" as opposed to the other two guys who played The Mountain who were both 7'1"), but he's by far the most muscular. According to IMDb, he was a competitor for Strongest Man in the World! Not surprising! Holy crap, that's a big dude!

I liked the first Mountain the best, didn't care for the second guy at all. I flat out didn't care for the introduction scene of this new Mountain either. It was silly, unneeded, and over the top.


One thing I did like was how big that ****ing sword was and how he held it like a light twig. Of course, the prop prolly is light but what they're trying to convey really comes across.

Conan Stevens was definitely my favorite. Ian Whyte didn't fit at all. I imagine they just used him because they couldn't find anyone else at the time. He plays the White Walkers I believe. Also played the engineers in Prometheus, and the predators in the AvP films.

I actually like the new Mountain. The other two were pretty forgettable. I think Nathan Jones would have been a great choice. I liked him in Troy as Boagrius. At some point there was a rumor that he was going to be Bane in Batman.
