ThreeZero has the license. They have mentioned before that they are already working on Rick and Michonne and a number of other characters from the show. Both humans and zombies.

Why did they start the Walking Dead line with the 2 "pet walkers"?
Why not Rick or Daryl?

It seems like an odd choice.

They do it all the time with the start of licensed releases:

2000AD = Tharg instead of Dredd
Halo = Carter instead of Master Chief
Portal = Companion square?
Team Fortress = Sammich or something?!?!?

etc

Now they are doing the same with this pair. It's as if they are putting out the crap first to gauge interest:

"Hey if the crap is selling we should have no problems palming off the good stuff!"


Though I do think these look pretty damn superb I will be passing as I have nothing to go with them and they would look like they are missing something as is (bar the obvious).

Another reason the pets may be releasing first is licensing. ThreeZero has the official license so getting the characters/actors likenesses green lit probably takes longer than say two decaying zombies. I for one really want the character sculpts to be spot-on so I'm willing to wait. Just my 2€.

Hey Gimbat. I'm from HK, tried posting on Toysdaily yet?
I think ThreeZero and ThreeA should setup a video channel on youtube. Would be good to show us updates and development progress videos every so often to keep us informed. Like a news channel or something similar like that.
I will def. buy the twin pack from ThreeZero, my only wish is that each zombie came with a pair of arms instead of just the one pair for the package. Please ask ThreeZero to reconsider. Thanks.

Awesome, I just created an account with the ThreeZero store. I'm assuming those of us in the USA will be able to order these and any other Walking Dead Exclusives?

Also, you could see if AMC would be willing to advertise these in their Walking Dead newsletter and carry them on their website as well. Most of the emails I get from them have the McFarlane figures advertised in the store.

Sending press releases to the big toy news sites would help too: Cool Toy Review, Toy Ark, Toynewsi, Figures.com, Action Figure Insider, etc

I feel good about this line. What is also good is that we have Gimbat listening in on feedback regarding sculpts, keeping us updated on developments etc. I talked with Gimbat a little while ago on facebook and he was nothing but helpful
