Aw you big **** Scott, everyone liked 10,000 Maniacs in the 90's. :lol It's no big deal man, I remember my old roommate called me a *** for collecting action dolls. I called him a hypocrite when I lifted up his Celene Dion Titanic CD and I was like "Really?".

Seriously, Natalie sang her ass off. Concert started ~7:30 and I got out of the theatre at 10:15. That's almost three hours of my happy place.

I got a couple of other videos pending...

was her whole show that artsy?

Different than anything I've seen. The reviews from her first ~7 shows in CA have been less than average, so I went into the show expecting little, and from the first couple songs I was hooked.

I guess she had a kid and this current album had been in the making for six years. So it was a little odd the way it was presented in the reviews I read. They made it sound like it was all children literature/poems. It was, but very short intro, and it was her interpretation of the stories, which she made over 20+ songs about, but they were bluesy, Irish/Celtic folk, country... everything. It friggin kicked ass.

Then the last hour she spent singing 5 or 6 of her classics.

Edit: finale included "River," "My Skin," "Letter" "Thank You" and 1 or 2 others. Like I said, nearly 3 hours of maximum funtime value.

8 member band total.

Trust me bro, I don't give a ____ what anyone thinks. I wouldn't post 75% of the crap I do if I did.

1 MEGA video coming up, something like "Mr. Pepper..." something. Almost reminded me of a squirrel nut zippers vibe.

I have zero simpathy for anyone who thinks that making up some form of entertinment entitles them the get paid for it for their entire life. Bootleg it!

I don't understand why bands don't just sell one cd and then let the rest of the world copy it. They should only be paid once. :lecture

Well I certainly don't agree with that. The artists musics lives on and they are entitled to the royalties that follows, as well are their families/estates.

But obviously I'm not going to market any of these crappy videos, so why couldn't the security guard let me have gotten the other remainder of the show.

I did end up buying a poster at the end of the show, with some hand drawn art, so I'm all for supporting the artists.

Final video. This is where I got busted. I knew I was about to get busted, already put down the camera before the "MAN" got in my bizness.

Like I said, some country/square dancing music played tonight. Audience loved it.

Aw man, I was hoping for a "Sir! I already told you!" scenario. Still though this thread delivered. Good night boyos!

They must really have been looking intently to spot an iphone on your chest.

I managed to get 6th row tickets for CHEAP, late day of the show. So all the rent a cop had to do was look at the audience, and I was in his immediate peripheral vision. I wanted to get her filmed during some of the classics, but I literally couldn't, dude was watching me. I don't think he approved of my third beer. :rolleyes

One last "encore" video, previously unreleased, dug out of the vault, there may be a light saber in the scene.

This was during the 2ND ENCORE!!! Who does that nowadays?

Make musicians sing for their supper every time the want to get paid, like every musician in the history of the world had to do before recordings. Beethoven and Mozart got no money from selling records or cds, and today's musicians are certainly no better than them. So spoiled they are, that they can sit on their butts getting money for nothing, and acting as if they are entitled to get it when far greater musicians got NO money.
Musicians should be happy that they get more money because recording technology exists, and leave it at that. At the end of the day, in the big picture, that is all that is really important.

I used to bootleg the ____ out of everything I could in the 90's. Then I'd hit usenet and trade cassette tapes and VHS with peeps from around the world.

For whatever reason, once the trading aspect went away and bootleg sharing went in the direction of direct downloads and torrents, I lost all interest.

I think the collector in me enjoyed the hunt more than the product. I know your question was regarding the morality/legality of bootlegging, but I wanted to throw that comment out there anyway.
