I cut thin strips of iron-on patch material, dyed them the correct color then ironed them onto the pants. Most of it is hidden by the rig and coat, but you can see it here in this WIP shot I took a while back.

I used some brown ribbon I bought from Michael's and glued it on with "Fabric Tac". If you want to try this I'll mail you some. I had to buy a whole roll to get the few inches I needed. It's the perfect color and width.

Just got my Kaylee from the sculpt master Trev. I let him send me one that wasn't completely cleaned up yet just so I could get it ASAP. I'm cleaning it up and starting to paint her right now, so I should hopefully have some pics for you all of the finished Kaylee tomorrow some time.

Great to see this sculpt getting to members of the board. Now comes all those wonderful pictures of custom bashes and paint jobs. Can hardly wait to see what you guys are going to do, and for mine to arrive here. Have her bash waiting for her. Now the fun begins.

Thanks guys, this one has been a lot of fun and can't wait to finish her.
For the pattern, I actually dissected a Hasbro Jango Fett jumpsuit and modified it a bit. It took about three times as long as it should have since I'm inexperienced and had sewn some things in an incorrect order and had to undo it. I'll be putting some boots on her today and giving her a base coat on her face and hair and start weathering her outfit with some dirt, grime and oil.

I totally agree. The face is done, and she is such a little cutie. As ____ as I am about detail, I can't see anything wrong with this sculpt as I paint it and study my reference pics. And she looks so good painted up.
That hair came as a separate wig piece which I now starting to paint. Hope to have pics later tonight of the finished Kaylee.

Well, it's technically not yesterday, but I'm still up, so to me I posted these in the same day I said I would. Had to eat dinner, watch TV, and Photoshopping frames takes some time.
Anyway, here you go Browncoats. The first finished Kaylee Frye headsculpt by Trevor Grove painted by yours truly.
Here's another with slightly different lighting. I wasn't sure which I liked better, so I made posters out of both of these pics.
