I agree with these ratings. The 3rd wasn't too bad, actually, but the rest are snoozers that guys get dragged to the movies to watch.

Now my 7-year-old had to get Breaking Dawn on BD to watch, because- in her words- "Shark Boy is so hot". The wife and kids watched that downstairs while I watched the Fright Night remake upstairs, and that was actually pretty descent IMO. I loved the original when I was a kid and was holding my breath watching this one (seeing as how most remakes kill the movies I loved growing up), but was somewhat pleasantly surprised by it.

So they watched the pansy fake vampire whilst I watched the bad-ass Collin Ferrell vampire. Good deal.

Does Bella change in this one? is the baby actually 'born' or does it save all that for some kind of dramatic ending and build up to the last one? Thanks.

The first is a great film as in it can stand on it's own without the sequels. The other films are just more stuff that depends on the others to make sense (like other sequels but still).

My wife's a big Twilight fan, so sadly we own all the movies. To answer your question.

Renesmee's birth does happen in this one, and the final shot is Bella's rebirth. And make sure you watch about four minutes into the credits for another scene involving the Volturi.

I got the impression that the child's vamp talent was similar to alice. She was showing herself in the future
