To be honest, I heard someone say something similar to me in Middle School. We were talking about if there would ever be a cure for AIDS. This guy I knew said, he didn't think so and basically saw it as God's form of population control.

Well, I expect that from someone in Middle School. :lol Not an adult. Though there are some adults who tend to act like Middle Schoolers.

I know you aren't. Personally, I feel different ideas are interesting. They create though and lead to interesting conversation. I understand what Darkartist is saying and don't want to start any flame wars. Which I haven't. If someone gets aggressive, I won't respond. But, ideas are wonderful things aren't they. "Ah, humans." You have to love Doctor Who.

I agree. I love reading different thoughts as it expands my way of thinking or at least I hope it does.

Damn...you make me out to to have Dislexia or some ^^^^?Besides my spell check is down right now.:D

Anybody else already spending their money? PS3? Collectible? Anybody?

:lol:rotfl:rotfl:lol:rotfl:lol

You don't have to rely on spellcheck... there is this neat little thing called the human brain, and it stores knowledge. Things such as word structure and usage. :lol

Some of us are running Mac software and some of us are running Vista for our brains. I'll let you take a guess on who might be using what. :lol

:lol I remember that one!!

And truly, spell checker will NOT fix your word usage. Only spelling.

Yup, I got that in one of my first computer classes in college. The professor used it as an ice breaker and it caused us all to laugh pretty hard. :lol

Comment on the choice of lexis in the following extracts from speeches by George W Bush:

“No you’re not going to see me stay put... I am not going to forsake my responsibilities. You may not see me put as much- I mean, un-put as much” —11/8/91

“They misunderestimated me.” — Nov. 2000

“We cannot let terrorists and rogue nations hold this nation hostile or hold our allies hostile.’’

“It was just inebriating what Midland was all about then.” — reflecting in 1994 about growing up in Midland, Texas

“Well, I think if you say you’re going to do something and don’t do it, that’s trustworthiness.” — in a CNN online chat, Aug. 2000

“Ann and I will carry out this equivocal message to the world: Markets must be open.” — at the swearing-in ceremony for Secretary of Agriculture Ann Veneman, March 2, 2001

Now that's poor word construction.

Yeah, he's a dolt. I voted for him in 2000 only because I couldn't abide by another 4 years of the Clinton Justice Dept. I figured they had destroyed the lives of enough Americans already (and there was no way I was helping the high priest of the church of global warming into the Oval Office).

Then 9/11 happened and he said he intended to eliminate the governments of states that sponsored terrorism. I thought we had someone who actually understood the problem in there, and someone who would finally do something about it. Half a century is a long time for people to sit around with their thumbs up their *****, talking about being diplomatic. Obviously, it was two zipcodes worth of skyscraper too long.

But he didn't do what he said he would. He was just another jihadi asskisser. Now, I'm all for the most radical leftist available to do the job. Go Obama. He'll screw it up beyond all imagining, but atleast he'll be honest about what he's doing. He'll call it what it is. Then people might learn that the military force part of Bush's foreign policy is what he got right. It was the diplomacy, multilateralism and generosity at the expense of American money and life that he got wrong.

We need an extremist in the White House to show Americans what the two sides are again. Because if anyone sees McCain as fundamentally different from Clinton or Obama, an education is exactly what they need.

Dev- You do realize Global Warming is real right?

Based on what? 100 years data? The earth is HOW old again and you're going to say global warming is "real" based on 100 years of data? It could just as easily be real that the earth runs in temp cycles that last thousands of years.
