:slap A painter would charge at least 200$ or more plus shipping & handling costs to repaint a statue this size...So people will end up paying around 700$ for their Ultron..I guess there are diehard fans of this character out there with money to burn....To each is own

is it that cheap to have it professionally repainted? i swear it was more, but it doesn vary from painter to painter.

The boys at SF are giving Ultron some love, they like it:dunno

They seem to have low standards over there... :monkey1. I looked at the pics over there & yes Ultron looks better in the dark or shadier area then at the light. The photo at the distant looks better too. This can be said for the Rogue however if you are a couple of feet away, I beg to differ that it even looks as good as it is advertised. :lecture

Lol...someone still can't get over getting banned :lol

I don't think Ultron looks nearly as good as the prototype but it isn't as bad as some of you make it out to be. Yes the eyes look terrible with the lights off but with the lights on it isn't that bad. Pics are from CustomPaintWork.

200$ will only barely get you his head repainted. I'm told that if you want a high quality repaint of the entire piece you'll have to fork out around 10x as much...2000$...Hope you really really like Ultron :monkey4

Nobody is going to leave the lights on 24/7. The orange bleed out or over spray looks weird when its turned off. On those pics, you are looking at least 6 feet away. Everything looks "great" from that distant.

LOL come on mate $2000 for a repaint ? This ain't Monalisa.:lol

I am really digging the sculpt! Its real well done!
It just needs to be repainted, I want quality paint damn it!! :gah:
I think the size and sculpt is very nice! Im keeping mine, but only because I can repaint it!
Wait till I get done with it. I know we shouldn't pay more to paint them, and most of you cant do it or will not. This is a real let down on the paint app :slap

The problem is very simple, don't like it, send it back and get a refund. Stop all the freaking WHINING. If you really want an Ultron statue, go commission one done to your taste.

screw you, this is not about whining but sideshow consistently delivering product that's no way close to what they showed in the photos.

if you are fine with it, then keep it. Noone is forcing you to send it back.

I am pretty underwhelmed by the statue. The mold seems fine, but the mono-color scheme is pretty lame. Debating on what to do, whether it be a return or possible exploring a repaint. I live in a relatively populated area (DC/Baltimore corridor), so maybe I should look into getting it customized. Never done if before, but outside of the paint job I do like it.

Its weird as the repaint on Ultron will cost as much as your 1:2 Street fight customs from the Philippines.. :slap

For international buyers, this is a problem because of customs & fees. You have to understand consistancy / QC on SSCs part must be better. Telling the buyers to basically screw themselves is not the right course. Not everyone has the type of money that can even afford customs like you. Let's be sensible Hung. :peace

Humm...
You may be right
Now I need to see it in person. I thin it may look good with fixing just these issues.
The Paint on the torso, also I would accent this leg area to match and shade all the wires, the overspray is the worst of it...
