And I agree with you 100%. I honestly never cared for Rosemary's Baby. My Mom used to always say "how can you like horror and not like it" and to be honest I just never saw the appeal. The Sentinel is just creepy and it has that raw feel to it because it's old. Like a 'what the hell is this?' feel.

Whereas Rosemary's Baby is absolutely predictable all the way through. It felt more like an exercise in bad mothering than anything else. I bought it on the advice of a friend and hated it. :lol I imagine, for it's time, it was new and fresh and probably horrific. Nowadays, I'd stick it in the "Babysitter thriller" category as it seems more like a Lifetime movie than a true Horror film.

I just put the Sentinel on my netflix instant watch...i'll probably check that out this weekend for sure.

I'll give The Sentinel a watch tonight. I think I've seen it but I'm not 100% sure. I always like to rewatch and see what I missed the first viewing.

That is cool Fanboy, about living near the reform school building from Sleepers. Living in New Orleans, I m always surrounded by former movie locations. In fact, the building that the Night of the Demons redux was filmed in, is just down the street. I pass it almost every day. It really is a creepy looking former mortuary.

Rosemary's baby was a decent read, but more of a thriller. The movie was ok, but not very scary. I guess Satan is a monster...

Yeah, I still got the vhs. Didn't bother to upgrade :lol Not worth it.

Next time I'm out with my camera I'll take a few pics and post them up here.

The other movie set one I always tell people about is from Spider-Man 3. The scene with Gwen Stacy and the out of control crane is a building I used to work in. It's was also the exterior for Dunder Mifflin's New York headquarters on The Office . (And somewhere in the background I hear my wife calling me a geek and sighing again).

Going to have to add The Sentinel to my ever expanding list of movies I need to watch one day.

my netflix Que has about 200 movies in it not including the instant watch. When movies go instant I usually get to them right away. I usually watch a 1 or 2 over the weekend. Depends on if the wife is up for some horror.

Just watched Ketchum's The Girl Next Door with my gf. Not a bad flick, my gf had to look away a couple of times. Makes you wonder about what kind of crazy people are out there.

Night Of The Demons is another old movie I like. It's an 80's movie so it has it's cheese in it but I like it. That main chick is scary. Kinda looks like my ex....

Angela, and again, a few pages too late. :moon

Though we're all in agreement any update on the remake would be much appreciated.

Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. Though probably not underrated when it first came out, it is today it seems. I remember seeing this when I was 10 or 11 and the first movie that made me feel disturbed afterwords.

Also anyone remember Silent Night, Deadly Night? I allways thought that was a pretty cool, underrated slasher. I heard it was a bit controversial in the 80's among mothers.

Henry was decent...when I seen it as a kid I can say it was messed up...not probably not so much. Was definetly good for its time.

Silent Night Deadly Night...fantastic. I love Slasher films of all kinds.

They're doing a remake? Damn. :slap

I liked Silent Night, Deadly Night and The Orphanage. I don't think a remake will do any good for The Orphanage. I like how it turned you on your ass, you think it's a scary story and then it turns out to be somewhat touching. :monkey2

See, I liked that part of the story also, but unfortunately I think thats what will hurt it as a remake as far as the Orphanage goes.

Yeah. People were upset that the movie was using a person dressed as Santa Claus as a murderer. Guess people had nothing better to do but go picket during the 80's.

It's still one of my guilty please movies though.
