supposedly, Toys2 has it, but I emailed them to verify and they never responded back so I had to resort to ebay. There's several that has them already. Just make sure though as some still say pre-order. I got 2 of them from 2 different sellers as I needed another one to use for my fight club kitbash. You're spot on though about using a sculpted neck. I had to fudge with the shirt for a while to hide the neck joints. If you button the neck kinda high, it kinda looks goofy, too professional looking and if you unbutton the neck part, the neck joints show up. That's why I'm torn to trying to see what it looks like with the casual look he dons at the end of the movie...the tshirt and jeans thing, as a tshirt would hide the neck part. But alas, I do like casino look better. I even already dyed a white shirt purple but I'm trying to see if I can get used to seeing the neck joints.

I really want to kitbash this figure but I want to use a HT body that has the sculpted neck (ie. Wolverine, Comedian, Leonidas, Will Turner, Goemon)... anyone know the best match skin tone wise? ;)
I think the Comedian body has the best skin tone. :rolleyes2
The Wolverine body is too tanned much as the Goemon one. I find the Leonidas body too muscular to figure Gambit and the Will Turner body is too hard to find.
So my choice is definitely the Comedian body. I must find one! :wink1:

Honestly i don't see the point of using a comedian body for this custom.
He's all dressed up and it will be a waste of money to use such a body.
I would go for the TTL 3 body with sculpted neck. They are pretty cheap and esay to find.
But if you want to spend money then yes go for the comedian body! lol

You're absolutely right if you make a custom inspired by the character seen in the Wolverine movie. But, if you're considering a custom inspired by some designs from the comics, the body of the Comedian is a real option... :rolleyes2

I'm not a big fan of the TTL bodies. I had one once and I'm fairly quickly separated. :(

Of course if you want a more comic version that a wolverine body is probably better.

I kinda like the ttl bodies, i used them for some custom and it works great with several layers on clothing.
But it's true that just with a single shir tthye don't look that great.

I think the Comedian body would be too buff for Gambit. Not to mention the sculpted muscle neck will proably be too large for the standard neck Gambit's head was meant for. So he'd end up with the long neck syndrome.

Its more of a GQ style of dressing up. Its where you only button the dress shirt slightly below the neckline. Its more of a suave way of dressing up. If you button up to the neck, it looks more like going to an office instead of say a club or something.

I didnt get what Hunni was saying at first cause the original black shirt that I used had a better button placement. I now replaced it with a dyed purple shirt where the button placement is slightly off so if you button all the way to the top, its looks too formal looking and when you button it below the neckline, its show too much of the neck joints. So instead of buttoning (is that a word?) the top, i sewn it halfway so you just see the separation of the TT body with the neck and with a little fudging, so far I can live with it. Its worse when you can see the left/right side of the neck. Kinda hard I guess to describe it unless you see it. I thought about also getting the comedian body but I think it may end up to be too muscular.

Hello Gambit fans/customizers. We don't normally post outside our own threads for this type of stuff, but as we have been making custom 1:6 scale paper items, it was requested that we do a deck of cards for Gambit. We are able to make these, but due to the cost of printing these double sided and that we only get 3 decks per page, they'll be around $8 a deck. For those wanting a deck of 1:6 deck of cards, would you be interested if that were the price? Also, we need to know what kind of back they should have. We can use the general Bicycle brand look, but what color, or if you have a graphic of what Gambit's cards should look like, please post. Lastly, would you want them pre-cut, or do you want to do that yourself?
Thanks!

any pics with his purple shirt?

Not yet...he he. I'm waiting on his vest and brown boots to make it as close as possible as in the movie, then I'll post it :)

What boots did you go with? I've got a few different ones in mind, but I'd be curious as to see what you're going with.

Well I have 2 packages waiting for me when I get home, so I am hoping that I now have my Sarah Conner and my Gambit body !!
I’ve still got a lot of parts to get and play with before my Gambit is ready, but looking forward to it.
Thanks for the updated pics Spanky. Got to say he looks very cool. Can I ask what hat you are using? I have one on the way, but I am not sure about it and yours looks like it fits well.
I’m looking forward to seeing your pics too Remy. Especially the purple shirt. How did it come out? I am going to be dying mine this weekend and am worried it’ll come out in patchy or something.
I never realised he was wearing brown boots…………………….

Bob

The purple shirt came out nice. Not patchy at all. I might have poured quite a bit though as I didnt bother to read the directions:rotfl
so it took awhile when I hand washed it for all the dye to come off. Basically after the dye, you wash the shirt until the water becomes clear when you rinse the shirt. Since I didnt bother to read the directions, it took a lot of washing and rinsing as I didnt want the purple to bleed on the figure. But it went really well...pretty happy on how it turned out.

Yeah, I didnt realize he had brown boots also til I did a lot of pausing on blueray to kinda really see what he's wearing.

Oh and thanks Lobo...Dont know why I didnt think to just paint the ones I have now:slap, since I started finally painting custom figures now, I should have done what you did and painted it myself. Just wasnt thinking so I painted them last night. The boots I ordered probably would have taken another 2 to 3 weeks since its from China (through ebay). The last part I ordered from this seller took 3 weeks to get.

I used the white shirt that was included with the superman/clark kent 2 in 1 version. I really have no desire to kitbash a clark kent figure so I used that. Since majority of the clothes that are being used for the gambit kitbash is the T Becker outfit, you could probably just go ahead and use the white shirt on that figure. The T becker outfit is top notch, so it may actually be even better than the one I used.

btw...I forgot I also had a hot toys gambit narrow TT on pre-order through sideshow and I just got the note from Sideshow where it says that its processing now and it will mailed in 20 or so days so you may want to order from sideshow instead of ebay. just fyi.

Got a bunch of my T Becker parts in today. Just need the boots and head now really. And still need to dye a shirt purple. But I think he is coming together. And I think the Two-face coin holding hand makes for a great card holding/throwing hand :rock

Its Done :)
