Maybe I'm just a PF virgin, but if something doesn't drastically improve with Leia, I'll be cancelling her. And she's an exclusive, hey, so at least a waitlister will be happy...

I said that also, until I had them in hand. I'm now selling 95% of my Weta collection. They just don't compare to these pieces, IMO. I actually love the look of the 3 characters in the pic above.

To each their own, I guess. I'm a "doll" only collector at this point unless some larger fully sculpted pieces come out like Kong v. Rex. The size of the 1/4 scales allows them to be displayed without looking crowded or junky. Most of the Weta pieces don't have enough "presense" to display separately and when you display them together they look "junky."

Cave Troll, Sauron, the Rider and Steed Series, the Treebeard bust, and "maybe" the Balrog are the only Weta pieces that you could display in an acrylic case on a pedastal effectively. Imagine putting a Weta Aragorn statue on a pedastal under an acrylic case and track lights. It would look pretty stupid. This is all my opinion of course, and everyone has a different display style. I'm just going for more of a "museum" look. See Gruson and CKing's collections as examples of what I'm going for.

Elwood, the elegance of display is an excellent argument. I'm a huge pedant in that regard, and believe me, it took a while until I figured out a way to display my SS/W helms, busts, minibeasts and environments in a way that was non-cluttered and aesthetically pleasing. I own less than ten sixth-scale statues, but even they are grouped in a meaningful way. The idea of just piling up piece upon piece has never appealed to me, as I'm sure you understand.

Well, I have to be picky with my PFs, as I dearly would love to have a few. Right now, the plan is to have just Leia and Padmé as centerpieces in my home cinema (away from the rest of my collection), so I hope they both look good as themselves, and as counterparts. Sort of like the SS/W Arwen and Galadriel statues, only bigger, and in actual cloth dresses.

BTW, if you really are selling 95% of your SS/W collection, I'd be glad to relieve you of some of the burden.

I basically based my base return decision on the reaction of the fan base here.

I just got my Vader RMA, so mine will be on its way back tomorrow. I hope to get a good base this time (*crosses fingers*).

Well, even though I received a shipping notice yesterday, and Vader was due for delivery today, it does not look like FedEx has actually picked up the package yet. Hopefully Vader will leave the building today and arrive tomorrow.

I am getting awfully anxious to finally get mine! If I am going to get a high edition number, then I hope it's #1977.

Out of curiousity, did anyone get their Fedex notice say 23 pounds? The sideshow site says 15 for Vader, but that could just be wrong. Or..... DID I GET MESELF A BONUS!??!?!?!?!
