The box was listed at 25, the height at 23 - which is the top of the lightsaber. It's a bit higher than the helmet.

If you moved the arms then you couldn't insert the top of the lightsaber, so I never even dreamed of trying to move them.

I've decided to get one of these statues but I'm going to have to commission a new helmet sculpt for it because I really don't like the shrunken head appearance.
Here's a simple comparison that I did which shows how much better the statue looks with a 10% increase in helmet size.
I hope it's ok to use your pic Dave? If not, I'll remove it.
In Sideshow's defence, I'm wondering if the original helmet WAS bigger, but it's got shrunken down due to the moldmaking / resins in China?

Doesn't look any better with the head being bigger IMO. Do what you want since it's yours and your money but I think having a new helm made might just be a waste of money IMO.

Hmm I'm actually diggin the bigger helmet touch. Makes no difference on my choice to get this PF in my house pronto. Although this reminds me of the Attakus Vader 2 statue. I love it but the helmet looks a tab bit too small but regardless both are awesome!

Looks like I need to get a new cape made too. The current one is just too bulky.
I don't honestly know how you can think the bigger helmet doesn't make any difference?

I dunno, but to me it looks like the whole statue is bigger not just the helmet. Still, I'd probably wait to get the statue in hand instead of jumping the gun here Chris.

The cape can probably be played with a little but how it comes looks good to me.
As far as the Helm I don't think it adds anything to the piece but like you said to each their own. I guess I'm just not nit picky on Vader.

I can assure you, I just copied the helmet and scaled it up by 10%. The statue bodies are the same in both pics. The reduced bulk on the cape makes the statue look more correctly proportioned which is why you may think the bodies are different sizes.
I'm getting one of these too, so I'm not just saying these things to start an argument. It just annoys me that such simple things weren't fixed before the statue was released.

You really should see it in person first. The head is plenty big, I've stared at it for hours now and can't imagine it being bigger, would really look silly I think. And I don't see how the cape could be any less bulky unless you used a very thin material.

I dunno. To me the modified helmet makes it look more like a child wearing a Vader costume that is slightly too big.

I think it looks worse in the pic where the cape is made less bulky. Vader's cape always looked huge and flowing in the films so why wouldn't it be on a statue like this? As for changing the helmet, maybe the difference is noticeable in a small picture like that, but I seriously doubt it would be necessary after seeing it in person. Dave seems to be 100% satisfied with how his looks.

Chris, looking at your updated pic, again, the helmet is now too big and the cape way too flat. The cape should be rounding the shoulders more and the helmet is reaching "Dark Helmet" proportions. The helmet, in your pic, needs to be sized down just a bit, and the cape needs to flow better. Just MO.

King's Vader is more accurate for sure.
I think the Sideshow Vader looks better than I thought it would BUT...it's not perfect.
