By and chance did any "second wavers" get charged yet for Vader? I'm not too happy by the thought of having to wait until around the 8th for it too ship. Heck, the first wavers got it shipped a good few days early, so I think there's a hope, even if it is just a fool's hope. Corny, I know.

Vader around the crown (right above the eyebrow ridges on the helmet) is 7.5".
Han is 7" around the forehead just above the eyes. But Han also has almost a full half inch of hair sculpt on either side of his face. So his real measurement would be about 6.25".

That would make the head about 30" in real life. That's a big head? I'd expect that my own head is approaching Prowsian proportions and it's only 24". Which makes it about the same proportion as Han's.

I also measured Punisher who has slicked back hair and he's about 6 3/8".

I have been checking my credit card account daily, and finally saw that the charge has been posted. According to Sideshow I should be in the second wave, since my order is dated February 19th. However, I ordered it first thing that morning, so I have been hoping that a few cancellations might bump me up into the first wave. Still not sure--but I am officially a second waver, and I have been charged.

Good luck to all of us in the second batch!! It's hard to sit around empty handed for days while everybody else gets their Vader... I suppose that's what I get for leaving the computer for a few hours last February--a longer wait and a higher edition number.

I think 'Ckings' version looks much better.
That vader helmet definetely looks in proportion IMO and the cape is no longer overwhelming.

I don't know why there is even a debate about this. Cking's version clearly has better proportions. Just take one look at the film, and you can see why. I always had a feeling something wasn't right about Sideshow's Vader. Now I know the head is too small. There is no denying it.

Actually in that pic the head does look too big. Guess I never noticed cause everything was moving so fast and I was into the story but yeah it looks odd.

Actually, there is denying it. Just read this thread, and you'll see plenty of people denying it. If you think the engorged version looks better, then more power to ya. But don't think that because you take the time to say "there's no denying it," that it somehow becomes incontrovertible fact.

My observation is that the modified version is much larger, in proportion to his body, than the film version was. I think Sideshow's version looks just right, and from what I remember from the information that has been shared with us, Lucasfilm had to approve it as well. I am going to be delighted when mine gets here (hopefully) next week.

I agree RD. That's the thing that really cracks me up is that Lucasfilm or Lucas himself gave the ok so something must be correct with it then.

Next week huh? Damn you I gotta wait till after TF. It's ok though more time to save $$$$.
