So why it does look somewhat questionable, the firing was performed across the board, not just the librarian. Palin wanted people working for her that supported her views.

Which other views would pertain to a librarian beyond a willingness to consider banning books?

EVERY candidate reads from a script on a teleprompter! Have you seen Obama try and answer things "on the fly"? His stuttering rivals that of George Bush.
Yes, thanks for the obvious.
First this...

Then this...

Apparently you are incapable of following your own advice.

Nope, responding to his comment on his level.

Some [not me of course] might say you are an oxymoron...without the oxy

Woodsy, I know you are incapable of mounting a rational and fact-based argument and must therefore resort to juvenile insults, but frankly I expect a higher caliber of jibe from you. Step up to the plate! :)

Sorry, but it doesn't work that way. You have three choices:

1- Lead by example. Demonstrate, through your own actions, the right way to carry on a discussion.

2- Continue to post snide comments such as the ones I quoted, but stop whining when others do the same.

or

3- Keep doing what you've been doing, namely demanding one standard of behavior from others but refusing to follow such a standard yourself, which only exposes you as a hypocrite.

Do you guys believe the "95% of people won't see increased taxes thing"? I sure don't, especially when they realize that by increasing taxes on business they'll decrease investment, therefore decreasing profits therefore decreasing tax revenue. Then what are they going to do? You know they won't scale down spending because they love programs and they think they know what and who to give the money to better than the citizen.

The concept that the worker and not the entrepenuer is the engine to the economy is ridiculous. Without an idea and capital investment, workers are just people with tools. I'm a worker and I know this.

That said, somehow we need to move the capital investment and ideas into America so we can employ workers. Best way to do that is probably getting rid of minimum wage here or highly taxing imports.

You're right. I should've been the bigger person and avoided going down to his level. However, since I've been following most of these political threads that have been created in the past, my tolerance has certainly declined for members such as him. But thanks for keeping an eye out for hypocrites. You've been doing an excellent job thus far. ;)

FWIW, if I saw someone from the other side of the aisle doing the same thing, I would be more than happy to call them out on it as well ;).

No one, on either side of the debate, deserves to be called an idiot or a retard (or any other pejorative name, for that matter).

There are exceptions. I am sure if you actually read through this and the previous threads, you'd know unless, of course, you agree with their far-fetched ideas.

Are you his sidekick? And no, he has not. I've been following this thread and he's not once called out any of the right-wingers in this thread for their hypocrisy.

I have seen plenty of mudslinging from both sides, but if there have been any "right-wingers" (which seems somewhat pejorative, the way you used it here) who have demanded that others clean up their act while refusing to do so themselves, I have missed it. I don't read every post on every page. These threads grow far too fast for my tired old robo-brain to keep up. :)

I find it interesting that this is a board full of men telling women what they can or can't do with their bodies.:rolleyes:

I have always said that men shouldn't be the ones deciding on issues of abortion.

:duh

how many times you want to write the same thing? Geez

No, there are no exceptions. Although I often fail, my goal is to live by the admonishment "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". If you want to cast aspersions on the character of others, because you believe their ideas to be too "far-fetched", you should first make sure that NONE of your ideas could possibly be perceived as far-fetched by anyone, anywhere. And from what I've seen, NO ONE in these discussions meets that qualification.

I think it might have to do with the fact unborn children have done nothing wrong, can't protect themselves, and don't plant IED's or fly planes into buildings......

But they cause chicks to gain weight, the worst crime of all.:lol:lol:lol

Please.....:sick

You're right, I'm sure having a daughter and his wife killed right before Christmas and right before being sworn in as State senator is something he has gotten over and just uses it in the debate and interveiws for political gains...
