:duh

how many times you want to write the same thing? Geez

Thanks for taking the time to prove a point.

Go ahead and lock it, nobody wants to answer real political questions, we're too busy giving each other hard times.

So fathers should have no say:monkey3

Let's not open this messy can of worms, please.

Abortion is absolutely one of those hot-button issues that's just ridiculously futile to even discuss, because everyone has their own opinion on it that is very strong and almost entirely emotionally-based. Rational discourse is impossible when it comes to the subject.

No, there are no exceptions. Although I often fail, my goal is to live by the admonishment "let he who is without sin cast the first stone". If you want to cast aspersions on the character of others, because you believe their ideas to be too "far-fetched", you should first make sure that NONE of your ideas could possibly be perceived as far-fetched by anyone, anywhere. And from what I've seen, NO ONE in these discussions meets that qualification.

I don't think I've thrown any ideas in this thread. Period. So no one can accuse me of having "far-fetched ideas. I just made a comment about Palin's debate last night, which this entire thread is about. My aspersions about some of the people are warranted. But how can you say that "NO ONE" meets these qualifications when just in the post above you said you don't follow every post? Do you pick and choose your posts or just suffer from selective reading syndrome?

a)
President Barack Obama
Vice President Joseph Biden

b)
President John McCain
Vice President Sarah Palin

What say you?

I choose a :)

I find it interesting that this is a board full of men telling women what they can or can't do with their bodies.:rolleyes:

I think that Dark Artist was right - this topic is too heated for this board.

Jen -- you absolutely read my mind and hit the nails on the head. :peace

I think fathers can say whatever they want, I just think the decision is ultimately up to the woman. Whether or not she has the right to make that decision should not be decided by a man.

Also, the problem with the Abortion topic is that too many people fail to realize that they should probably separate their personal view from their political view.

I can say with absolute certainty that I will never have an abortion.

John....I think I love you (purely platonic of course....we've met).:peace

The economy did well under Clinton, but wasn't it all a joke in reality? Internet bubble anyone? It was bound to burst and Clinton was lucky there wasn't a third term because that legacy of good economy would have wiped out within the 9th year.

So if he decided to divorce her over it, and she wanted to fight for half the estate. Should she still get that?

ooph. That was a good dig. LOL.

I got it, we'll keep the wolves alive with the aborted baby fetus, just keep encouraging those pregnant urban city girls to hang onto them until late term. That way we employ the feminist baby snatchers and give girls from Chicago and Detroit something to do while not attending public schools which don't have parental involvement because the government promises they know whats best anyway!:fest

I'm sorry but that is disgusting. Please....let's not get crazy?

Either this current line of discussion should end NOW or Lonnie should just cut to the chase and close the thread. Seriously.

Life and choice is a personal belief. Going down this path will lead to nowhere (like the bridge Palin supported). There is no point in arguing about this issue, as opinions run so deep. I support choice, but NEVER support abortion. I can understand the pro-life stance, and it is their right to have it. Let's move on to other topics please :)

And let me just state that I'm thinking BOTH sides are probably about to put more than feet in their mouths.

END. NOW.
