Coheteboy, beautiful pics. Love the low light ones.

Can you tell us which camera / lens you are using?

Thanks!

Using a Canon 5D mark2 w/ either a 16-35mm lens or 50mm macro. Usually at 3200 ISO in those low light situations.

Amazing pictures as usual Coheteboy!
Thanks for sharing!!
For some reason I thought the Little Mermaid attraction would open later this year,
I remember seeing the models @ Blue Sky cellar, looks amazing!
Gotta stop by Disney soon, to check out Star Tours and LM, as well as ElecTRONica before it's gone!
:rock!

Thanks for posting more photos of Star Tours. Top notch stuff.

Boy, the next two years of waiting is going to be murder. :impatient: :impatient: :impatient:

Especially when I'm going to be SOOOO close next month when I go to SDCC. :monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

Thanks, guys! I gotta tell you... I don't think I've been to Disneyland so much in one weekend before. I was there Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sunday. Saturday was not in the parks but at the bar in the Disneyland Hotel with friends.

Here's some more photos...

Late May was the debut of the new Mickey's Soundsational Parade. Here's a few pics of that I snapped..

And geeez the parade route was busy afterwards...

Oh man that's looking amazing. We had a beautiful poolside view when we went in December. The only problem is, it was covered with tarps.

Two questions:

Is there an ETA for when that will be finished? Disney Files said during the summer (I think).

Are there times in the summer where DLR is quieter than others? Our Premiere pass expires first week of September, and I was just thinking of getting to DLR one more time.

Well the pool, Tangaroa Terrace cafe and Trader Sam's bar are all complete. They're now working on the other sections of the hotel and tearing up the old Neverland Pool and redoing that.

Only one tower remains in total refurbishment. I saw the suites in there and they are AMAZING. $5000 a night though.
-Fairytale Suite (i didn't see)
-Pirates of the Caribbean Suite
-Adventureland Suite
-Big Thunder Suite
-Mickey's Penthouse

Carsland continues in construction towards the 2012 opening.

Look at the size of the people.

The new land is 12 acres and Radiator Springs Racers occupies 6 acres of that land. It's the biggest mountain range in a Disney park ever constructed.

Even though the show made its debut in June 2010, we are already seeing the third variation of the show with an extended Pirates scene and Tangled cameos. Just goes to show how technology has progressed theme park entertainment.

If your pass allows 365 day entry, I would suggest looking at the Annual Pass block-out calendar and go on a day that Deluxe (and everything under) is blocked out.

Typically locals who aren't pass-holders will decide that Saturday may be too busy so they'll avoid it. And with a large percentage of folks Deluxe or under, that makes for a much nicer day to enjoy the parks.

That's a good idea, I hadn't thought of that.

Of course, the trip is all in the theoretical stage right now. But I was getting the itch on the flight back from WDW, and the only way to make that go away is to plan another Disney trip.

You bet it is! And then you'll get in that phase where I'm at right now. I was there ALL WEEKEND and I'm itching to just be there again.

Continuing on the photo tour... Splash Mountain re-opened at Disneyland after a few months of rehab. I think they redid the load/unload area so that it flows better and doesn't take as long.

Love the shot of the briar patch. It seems like that would be difficult to get without it being blurry.

Thanks, Agent! Yah, that's the beauty of these DSLR cameras. They're heavier so you can hold it a bit steadier than the pocket cameras. And they also fire a shot off immediately (if you program it to) instead of it pausing a few seconds which by then would be too late.

The hardest part was keeping the camera dry. I got SO SOAKED.

Glad you had a great time Khev. Looks like the kiddies had a great time as well. I can't wait to have my own offspring to take to the World.
