I love that one! :clap

My boss's mom's pipes froze last night. :( I haven't been to my home since yesterday afternoon - so I hope my house is ok. *fingers crossed* I've officially had enough of this cold weather now. :lol And sadly, it's going to get extra cold tonight. Stresses me out. :lol

Oops...wasn't a reply to you. I hope all is well for you.

Yeah - got home to a warm house - no frozen pipes. :woo

Found out a friend of mine left work yesterday at 3pm to drive home. Her commute is usually around 30 minutes max. She got home at 4am! :horror

GOOD LORD! 13 hours to make a 30 minute drive? What happened?

We live in West Seattle - the only way to get to this area is over bridges and they had all turned to sheets of ice and eventually got closed down after they had become parking lots. There are some back routes you can go - which everyone was trying to do. It was taking a couple hours to go a few blocks. Many people gave up and just parked their cars and walked home after 5+ hours of getting nowhere.

Most people don't realize that Seattle is a city of hills - steep, steep hills. Compared to much of the country - we don't get that much snow/ice - but with all of our hills it's just super dangerous getting anywhere. A few inches of snow and some ice and our city is crippled.

Wow. I still love snow...but I am on board with it needed to stay clear of Seattle.

we've only got about 6" here, but it's been really cold. almost -40 last night.:thud:

Ouch! Now that's cold. I don't miss that at all. I remember waking up in Idaho to go to school and thinking it was going to be a warm day if it was above 0. :lol We are supposed to get in the teens tonight - coldest it's been here for 25 years they are saying.

Nice pics! My Grandmother is in Buhl and they got around 8 inches over the last couple days.

Here's a vid of wonderful Seattle traffic.
