nostalgia does play a massive part in what we consider to be 'classics'.
The same applies to modern 'classics' too.

But in objective POV it doesn't. You either make a big note about the year and style of a movie OR stop trying to criticize something you have no idea about, simple as that.

And nostalgia is only important if you were there. The vast majority of movies age badly.

Forgot to add Ghostbusters. Watched it for the first time a few weeks ago and wouldn't rate it any higher than a 6/10. Yeesh. I don't see the overwhelming praise for this movie and the others I've mentioned. There was one joke that made me laugh, and that was the "This man has no ****" line.

Loves Prometheus and thinks Ghostbusters is mediocre. That's like someone saying they think Thelonious Monk is an overrated hack but Kenny G is a musical genius.

William Wallace's sword from Braveheart or the Bride's Hattori Hanzo are much cooler. Then there are lightsabers, pretty much the best looking sword, bar none.

While Lightsabers are very cool...... I don't count them. They Need FX to help or they are basically just flashlights with poles sticking out of them..

Once a respected member of the SSF forum, longtime Member Difabio, ruined all of his hard earned credibility with one outlandish and silly post. Many thought, "perhaps he has lost his mind?"
