Re: Where is HT Battle Damaged T-800?

Don't say that! I won't be able to post or maybe even access the internet on monday and the thread will already be on page 107 by the time I do! I hate joining a thread so late! :lol

Re: Where is HT Battle Damaged T-800?

Yea it's becoming unlikely. You know the price for the regular T-800 is going to skyrocket. :lol

Maybe it was the proto for the 800 from the first movie. Surfer also got his hands on the original sculpt of the Guardian Predator from the sculptor. The Guardian didn't show up until more than a year after that.

You'd think, but what coulde be the logic in moving on from T2 with one figure left to make and then come back and finish.

No idea. That's what has me somewhat concerned. Unless HT sees "Terminator" as an overall line and not concerned with finishing one movie before moving to the next. Not sure they've ever done that, but maybe.

And the proto couldn't have been the one-eyed T1 because he specifically mentioned the grenade gun and bandolier.

Well I'm a little mixed now with the T1 being shown. Looks like it's going to be an amazing figure but I was hoping for the BD T-800 to be shown so I could finally decide on what I'm going to do with the clean T-800 I own that's never been opened. :gah: Guess he's going to stay MIB for a bit longer....

I still think the BD T-800 would make an excellent choice for a DX. With the announcement of the Superman DX maybe HT's is shelving it until that gets released and then the T-800 will be the next one. Kind of a grand finale to that line as I don't see them making any more figures from that film. The DX line has just gone all sorts of unpredictable though.

I could see with the success of the T2 line that they would want to keep the ball rolling by getting the T1 stuff out right behind it. I'm not the biggest T1 fan, definitely like it but some of you guys on this board put the average fan to shame :lol, but I don't see them making more than MAYBE 2 figures from T1. What do you guys think?

I'm not even sure they will make Reese but they have to figure an updated Biehn H/S would sell that figure alone considering how bad the Hick's one is.

If it's a DX, release date won't matter. I think they just want to release it after T1 rollout, give some space between T2 Figs.

But to what gain, I don't see what advantage there could be to switching films for a bit, and the only instance I can think of where HT went back to a movie they've done is the lost predators but that was a stretch to keep making money on background guys once they were out of new stuff. They're background guys though, HT made the primary ones up front.

Right now I feel like a 30% chance of T2 BD coming, if it comes out now it'll be an unprecedented move.

It's probably taking longer to engineer the BD endo arm, chest and leg but I'm certain it's coming. It's too important for them not to make it. Easy money.

Hot Toys not doing something for 2011 when it's Terminator 2's 20th anniversary doesn't sound right thogh.

The only reason I don't feel it has to do with the anniversary is they knew it would be 2011 this year, so if that was the plan, why not hold off all T2 for 2011.
