After seeing the pictures above, I don't even like the suit anymore. The front view looks like Routh, but the profile is horrible.

This is Routh:

Yeah, too bad Medicom's actual Superman ain't as good as their Clark.

Well, I LOVE it.... I think they did an excellent job considering the scale. And they even put the lines there, the ones you can hardly even see on screen. The cape is nice and two toned and the sculpt looks great.

I can't wait to have him as I love what we have seen so far....

Actually all 3 supes have the darker blue seams on the suit. The only one that doesn't is the $15 Ken doll. Although it looks like HT made an effort to have them raised whereas DC's are just drawn on.

Guys, I just got my Hot Toys Superman Returns figure and all I have to say that it is PERFECTION. Don't base any opinions on the prototype pictures. This figure is about as accurate as a figure can get. First, the likeness is very good. Second, the body--which looked so skinny and off in the proto's--is nearly perfectly proportioned to how Brandon Routh was in the film. The body is also excellent and sturdy. Far more weighty than Medicom's bodies. The costume is perfect! It has all the lines that made the costume look more alien in the movie and they do a fantastic job of "texturizing", or whatever, and creating the shimmering detail all through out the costume and the S-shield. The boots are perfectly recreated. They even sculpted in the zipper on the inside that we must assume is how Brandon got into them! The cape flows and falls wonderfully. The thing is PERFECT. No one will top this figure. I'm nitpicky as all heck but this figure has me floored. Hot Toys hit this one out the solar system. This one is worth every penny! High quality all around!

THANKS ANTI-HERO. PICTURES PLEASE!

Ha! Sorry but that wasn't me. I was trying to quote movieman78 from rebelscum. You must've quoted me before I could change my post. I've already begged him for pics so if he posts any I'll post the link. I'm hoping to receive mine soon. The guy I bought it from said that it would post to me this week. I didn't know if he meant he was going to mail it or it would arrive to me. I'm hopeful tho!

Anyone else think that the price *might* go back down a bit once they ALL ship & are out in full force?

Once that happens, a larger amount will be readily available & we'll most likely see a lot more of them on ebay.

!ss!

Yeah, I finally got that, went to RS and saw it there. Looks like yours will be shipped to you this week. Can't wait, I knew when I saw this boxed pic this was going to truly be an exceptional piece and HT is one of the best Toy companes on Earth so I expected nothing less.

Best to try to snag one at a decent price when the first few waves hit but I gotta tell you SR is ripping up the Box Office in Asia and hasn't even been released in most territories so don't count on it.

If you can get one for 175 or less consider yourself lucky.

I really want the HT figure, but I just can't bring myself to pay 300 a figure (even if I had it,) no matter how nice it is. If the HT Superman was under 100, it would be a really nice figure, but at 300, it really isn't that great.

IF I am going to pay 300+ for a plastic toy, it needs to have a 100% PERFECT sculpt, EXTREMELY movie-accurate clothing, real life-like skin, a talking feature, a ****load of accessories, and a base made of solid gold.

If Sideshow made a 12" Superman Returns figure, I'm sure it would be almost flawless AND it would cost in the neighborhood of 40-55 bucks.
