Apparently I was wrong about the dang 2006 Winter Olympics as well.

Canada was third in overall medal count with 24 medals, USA was second with 25, and Germany was third with 29. Get this though, we have 30 million people to the US' 300,000,000. We owned you guys per capita. Even in the Summer Olympics in 04 we did well per capita.. why the hell did I think Norway was all the way up there? They did well for a country with what? 5+ million? 19 medals... yikes. Mostly for skiing.

Damn muddled memory.

yeah Canada is pretty bad. somebody should go along the US/Canada border with a pick-axe and chop it off.

i watched that earlier. the US looked like a train wreck. i felt bad for em.

Last night, the main gymnist from China screwed up bad on that vault/horse thing where he rested his legs on it during a hold. Ruined his chances to compete in the individual medal for that event (whatever its called... sawhorse thingy). Good.

:gun --- china
:yuck china
:whip china

Why all the hate for China? Sure they make up for 1/3rd of the world's polution, but you Americans make for another third.

Oh, I don't know, they're communists, and they crap on human civil rights on a regular basis... and if they wanted to they could overcome us with sheer numbers alone. Oh, I forgot, they own a good majority of the US debt. They're certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Edit: just going off memory, population stands at:

1st = China = 1.3 billion
2nd = India = just broke 1 billion I think
3rd = ? (but I didn't think it was US, I thought something like 400 million)

Edit 2: But don't worry my Canadian brother. When the Eastern dragon wakens, I expect my Canadian and Mexican neighbors to join the US and down that beast. :lol

Awesome race between France and USA in that relay. I'm glad USA took it in the end. I was hoping Phelps would go teabag the Frenchman in the pool that did all the talking.

I'm still pumped from that relay. 5 teams broke the world record. Unbelievable!!! Phelps did his part as the other but, really, the HERO of the day is Jason Lezak and I wish the press would give him more of his due.

You're nutty. :lol

You know, I'm not...and I'm actually quite mad at myself for that. I really should be watching. I should get myself in gear.

Howzat Long Qingquan. What a hulk. 17 years old, in the 58kg division and lifted a total of 292 f'un kilo's between the clean and jerk and the snatch. :google
