Edit: 0.08 differential. that's 8/100'ths of a second. incredible. blew the world record away by a lot, but I didn't catch by how much. I think by over a second or two.

Awesome race between France and USA in that relay. I'm glad USA took it in the end. I was hoping Phelps would go teabag the Frenchman in the pool that did all the talking.

Yes it was more than 2 seconds amazing race.

We may have gotten bronze but our lead off swimmer broke the individual world record which counts as he started off with the gun so plenty of records in that race.

Most olympics are dominated by US,China and Russia but we do exceptionally well in swimming usually runners up behind US.

Same here. I literally jumped off the couch when we lept ahead at the very end like that. It really was the most amazing relay race I have ever seen, and a great example of the spirit of America.

That swim was captivating, really a highlight of the games so far. Our girls Gymnastics team looks good too, some amazing work on their team. I hope they can beat the team of 13 yr olds China put together.

So far, it's been a great Olympics... I hope it gets even better.

Team GB has two golds so far which is not that bad going AND Andy Murray is out of the mens singles....I'm a happy boy!

Is it me or do all swimmers look like the same breed of alien life forms? They all seem to have that extremely elongated heads and chins the size of California.

I saw some synchronized diving and women's gymnastics this weekend. One thing I can't stand is hearing the announcers constantly making comments about how they messed something up. I feel anyone who makes it to the Olympics deserves to have better commentary while they are performing. Maybe it's just me.

LOVE the Olympics. That relay was INSANE!!! Got me jumping off the couch for sure! And I totally bawled when they told the story of the 33 year old Russian woman competing for the German team because she moved there after her son was diagnosed with Leukemia. I love those stories! And I'm totally cheering for her in the vault 33!! And a mom! Amazing athlete and very inspiring.

Could have done without the soap opera French/Italian swimmer story though. And she came in so far last it was embarrassing.

i saw her 2 vaults and they were amazing. especially for a 33 year old mom.

sounds like walsh lost her wedding ring in the sand during a game yesterday or this morning. they were able to follow it leaving her hand in instant replays and then they got the metal detectors out and came up successful.



PS. i just saw misty-may clean some sand out of the front of her knickers.

This men's gymnastics team is absolutely incredible! Never a fan much before, but this high bar portion of the team final is unbelievable.

Yeah, the Men's gymnastics team really did some amazing work to get up to the top three. And that last guy blew me away on the last event. He singlehandedly saved their *****.

China was pretty stunning tonight, as was Japan.
