I simply say each of my statues are only $250 each, and my cousins, friends, wive all are going wow, these stuff cost that much. If I say more, they probably shake their heads even more. Saves me the negative comments, hahahaha

What if they say Great! here is $300, get me that Wolf predator LSF and keep the change?:rotfl

i tell exact price including shipping n customs ..... i dont give **** if anybody thinks its worth or not...... its very important that my collectible is worth in my opinion or not......

Besides the fact that it allows these companies to get away with more outrageous prices in the future, there's not anything wrong with buying something that's incredibly overpriced (well, as long as you can afford it). It's when they try to defend and justify the outrageous prices that gets me.

If I was rich, I'd probably buy this LSF. That doesn't make it any less of a ripoff though.

Nope. No way I could afford anything near that price at the moment. You don't have to see these in person to determine whether they're worth 2 grand or not. They're not. No LSF they've made yet is worth that much money.

You realize that the Darth Maul LSF is a bunch of cloth, a head sculpt, and an overly large lightsaber? How on earth is something like that worth TWO GRAND? That's just completely insane. :lol

I'll be sure to consult you the next time I'm thinking about what I should be spending my money on. We all will.

My biggest problems with this statue is the tooth under the top mandible that is facing in a wierd direction, and the fact that the dreads are lumped together. It looks really cheap like that. Narin's $300 statues come with seperate dreadlocks. I would think they could spend the extra time making each one its own.

how much extra time do u think i m allready tired with delays.... so much tired ......... 1st they will tease then official announcement then after ............so much time its up for preorder........n shipping delays 6-8 months n still product is inaccurate ...... :dunno ..... i was very excited when i started collecting but with QC issues n shipping delays no more excitement left ..... at 1st i dont thought abt price ..... if i liked it i order it thats how i ordered wolf predator lsf.... but now on only selective ones n if ES is big or open i will wait until actual products inhand reviews up then i will decide but from now on no way anything above 1200$....

As a huge wolf fan......that's a big HELL NO! ( to it looking sexy ). Looks much better without the net.

I think you missed my wink emoticon in my original post. If I were laying out this kind of dough for a statue, I would expect the highest accuracy (along with great paint apps and a great sculpt, which goes without saying).

I've come to the conclusion, however, that with Sideshow nowadays...the price you pay does not necessarily have any relation to the quality control or accuracy of the pieces. So whether you spend $250 or $2000 on a piece you are likely to have some of the same issues with accuracy and/or quality control:(

My bad...sometimes I do not see the sarcasm in the posts. ( since some people would likely believe it does look better ).

I agree with that 100%, as IMO, the 1/5th scale actually came out really good and I think for its size it was right on price point. This thing should be a masterpiece, compared to the $300 1/5 scale statue. IMO, just from the pictures, the price is not justified at all.

Still, glad I passed on this one.....here's to hoping the PF Master Chief comes out good. Its the only SS piece I got coming in this year it appears.

No problem with the netting on the legs...

The dealer I bought mine from said they would start charging cards on Monday for the Wolf. But maybe tomorrow they'll start early. We'll see. I bet we start see this shipping Tuesday or Wednesday of next week and everybody will have their statues by the end of the month. Just my two cents.
