Are you guys okay with a variant in brown costume? Wouldn't you guys prefer a new sculpture in brown? Goodness knows, we've sure heard lots of peeps complain when BD released multiiple near identical pieces.

:)

Well they have already announced it just not officially. We can assume around 3to 6 months.

they never confirmed it was just going to be a variant of the pf though.........like i said before, they usually dont come out with a variant after the original ships out, so 3-6 months wouldnt make sense.

pitu said that there will be a brown one. I believe him but I still want this one. :)

Brown and yellow Wolverine matches with brown and yellow Sabertooth... they are brothers!! ;)

I already have the yellow comiquette EX, so I have been going back-and-forth on keeping my Yellow PF EX order or not (I was thinking about getting the PF JUST to go with Sabertooth). Reading this news, I will either pass my Wolverine EX PF to another member or cancel it.

Having a yellow comiquette and brown PF would be the perfect setup. Seriously, with Gambit ordered and the news that Cyclops, Colossus, and Rogue are on the way...I am a very happy camper. Now I just wish Sideshow would get off their behinds and make a decent Jean Grey (which they have NOT done yet).

Mmm... I think you should keep both Ex.
Yellow and Blue wolverine sure can match with other PF in near future. :naughty

Yeah some would like both but that's too much duplicity in PFness for me! :p At least the news of brown coming out may curtail some flips and drive down prices, so the ex should be easier to pick up for the real collectors who want to keep him. Good news all around! Yellow campers and brown campers both happy! They said they may make phoenix but no plans for Jeannie :(

Personally, I much prefer the brown/yellowish version, because it's the version I grew up with reading the comics. So, this would be a welcome addition. Unlike some other variants, these are both essential, iconic incarnations of who may well be Marvel's most popular character.

Also, I notice that on the Q&A that the guy asking the question refers to this as "Byrne era" Wolverine. Yeah, Byrne first drew him with that outfit, but only did a few issues before going off to do Fantastic Four. I associate the blue/yellow more strongly with Byrne, personally.

Byrne did more then just draw him that way first, he created that costume which is why credit is given (I should've worded it differently). You could also argue that the Brown and Tan is more of the Jim Lee era since he drew him more often in that costume then the Blue and yellow currently associated with Lee. But I think Lee preferred the Blue one and Byrne preferred the Brown one which is why they're given the association. Personally I think of the Brown and Tan associated more with Silvestri then anyone else.

I am only getting into collecting Marvel. Do you guys think I can afford to let the regular edition go? It looks quite good.
