i think it was one of the last grail pieces i picked up, either that or the xmen vs 3 set i can't recall which came last as they were all close together.
so glad that i'm was finally done playing catch up.
funny thing is that it seems to be more expensive now than it was playing catch up

Playing catch up was the worst part of starting to collect these, I remember just collecting GI JOE 3 3/4 figures and then I found this site.

I hated spending that much for the grails but that is why I find it so insulting that other members what everything for way cheap or they try to low ball others or in some shape or form complain about some piece because it's out of their reach.

Well you know what, HULK Green, Grey, Dr. Doom, Grey HULK vs Spidey, Green HULK vs Spidey, Spidey Classic, Spidey Neg, IM Com Ex, Captain weren't all cheap either and didn't land on my lap.... THOSE MOTHER'S GOT MY

U have to pay ur dues!!!

It's way cheaper for me now even with the steady increase in prices from these pieces.

another thing that burns my ass is when people late to the hobby want ssc to redo past pieces such as your above list so that they can get the next Doom or Hulk PF, etc. etc. at retail.
funny how these recent releases haven't seemed to have a negative effect on them grail prices like alot of peeps were hoping.

exactly man, well the first pieces of each character are going to hold their ground and remain where they are at, unless the piece after it really tops them and that's going to be tough with the way pieces are being made these days and the corners being cut to do collectibles cheaper.

In end the grails still stand because there was a reason they are grails!

I think some fans just want pieces of that character in their collection, not necessarily the older ones. I don't see a problem with redoing it in any shape or form. I'll get all the Spideys they can make imo. If you are a hardcore don't plan to sell anyways, it won't affect you and you should want the best for your fellow collectors and more versions of all our fav characters. : )

The IM com has dipped a lot since the IM Maquette was announced, and I'm sure the Spidey PFs did as well.

I had a friend who just got Venom and he's getting Spidey and Venom so he's stoked. He doesn't care about grails or anything, just wants a large Spidey in his collection.

They can produce as many pieces as they like imo, the more the merrier. There can never be enuff Marvel!

Why does the simple idea of someone wanting a Hulk or Doom burn your ass?
Life is far too short to be that bothered by someting so incredibly trivial.

Bottom-line, SS knows they can get the money asap with all the folks waiting to convert their orders. I'll just have to pay in full for this piece, he must be in humongous demand and I don't want to lose my order.

I agree, but it sucks that they aren't willing to give a little to work with you on this. Luckily for me they let me Flex it otherwise I would've cancelled all together.

I agree with this part and it's not that Doug or I want them to stop producing pieces, make all that you want SSC

I just don't like ppl justifying why a piece is inferior whenever it is clearly not.

Another thing that burns my ass is when gravely ill children get to the hospital minutes before they are going to die and then expect to be treated....

Sorry Quad, I agree with you on a lot of things but not this. I will agree that I would never expect to put the existing Doom or Hulk PF's back into production...but not everyone can pay $1000s to get a statue they missed. So whats the harm in them looking forward to a new statue that they can jump on in an affordable fashion?
