Koto Fine Art Hulk es was 4000.
Koto Spidey?
Koto Spidey?
I think it was 3000
It was 1900. Venom was 3000.
Would seem that most comic book collectors are perverts...
Who'd of thought that!
Yeah a statue released two years ago More people collect Sideshow than Koto Fine Art Line.
Venom released pretty recently. Koto typically makes pretty large edition sizes. The fact Sideshow is surpassing some of Koto's runs on just the exclusive alone is pretty remarkable. When you look at the total edition size, they are probably close to Bishoujos now.
I'm guessing that this will now come in a couple split shippments........
oh yeah still haven't ordered this one, I will but only when it sells out. As we all know there will be many WL conversions on this one I'm sure
and they still sell out..so what
Making more because it will still sell out may help their bottom line today, but isn't a good trend for the future. Casual buyers don't move the market for $400+ statues. Collectors do. When an item eventually becomes so overproduced it no longer is considered a collectible, that isn't positive. See the 90's. It isn't that way yet, but considering prices are going up $50 every 6 months and edition sizes are rapidly increasing, the writing is on the wall.
So that, is the so what. I know you'll never agree, but this is basic supply/demand economics. The graph on the chart is moving in only one direction.
Still a good statue here. =)
The problem is that it's called Collecting, not investing. You don't collect to invest. That was the issue with the 90's, which I've spoken about at length. Collectibles do not have to have a intrinsic monetary value attached. People collect stamps, coins, cards, beany babies, crystals, comics, matchbox cars etc.etc. People buying an hoping for monetary value based on the number made will be disappointed in the end. Just as people were who bought the death of Superman 100 copies at a time.
You have the wrong friends....Supply and demand? Yeh Sideshow are raising edition sizes because more people are demanding them.
Non of my friends have one PF never mind a collection
I find the steadfast edition size defenders much more entertaining than the complainers. No matter the size they are right there on the front lines claiming shock and awe that the edition size could be millions and still not meet the total demand of the entire population of Earth. I guess from that point of view, people in Vietnam, Sudan, and Greenland will never have their demand met of this Wonder Woman. =(
