Kitch is fine.

Except he's not, so we're already at an agree to disagree point in your first three words. Blundership, bad bad acting in origins, horrible in savages, etc... but ultimately he already blew it as Gambit once, but you're condemning Tatum before he even has a shot. I mean everyone has a right to have an opinion, yours is just fairly ironic considering your love for an actor that already butt****ed the role. :lol

I have quite a list of requirements: the gritty 5 'o-clock shadow, them weird dark red eyes, fighting staff, playing cards, and his accent.

Nice list of 'core' stuff right there. His comic costume would probably be rough to make look good on screen, which is too bad, because i think its one of the better costumes around, but I think if they hit the essentials you got there they got what they need.

Thanks! Yeah, forgot. He needs them weird gloves that only cover glove his middle and ring finger. And trench coat. And that weird coif / cowl thing. :lol

I’m pretty sure he was saying he didn’t think he did a bad job, which is the reason he wants him back in the role. I don’t think anyone really had a chance to shine in Origins under the direction of Gavin Hood, even Hugh Jackman was terrible. Not a fan of Kitsch, but he never really had a fair chance.

Which is why I said we're at a point of disagreement, was that hard to understand? Its why i only quoted the three words i disagreed with, I also thought my statement saying his acting in origins was really really horrid may have hinted that we were in disagreement as well. I've never seen the last movie he mentioned, but definitely won't seek it out since I've never enjoyed Kitch in anything I've seen him in.

This right here doesn’t really make sense then, which is why I said what I said. Think we’re both misunderstanding each other :lol

I don't know how we're not. Taylor Kitch is horrible and I think he should never be in another role and definitely not as an Xman ever. Of course I could change my mind if I see that movie he mentioned and I think he's improved, but I've seen about 5 movies with him and I will not be running out to rent his latest flick. :lol

Otoh, I'm more than willing to give Tatum a try because good or bad, you know someone's going to put on their best show if they're playing their favorite hero. It would be like Webb asking me to take over for Garfield, except I'd obviously turn him down, because I wouldn't want to screw up a Spidey movie, but if I could act, I'd be acting my as off. :lol

I'd definitely like to see them reintroduce Psylocke

Me too. Probably my biggest want of a redo for a character in the franchise. Do you think she could fit into an Apocalypse story line set in the 80s?

The only irony I see is seeing you try to make this look like it is subjective, but the Irony is the he butt****ed the role...
is YOUR OPINION. That is subjective, cause many people, myself included think he did a good job as Gambit.

A lot of people who actually didnt even like Origins, think one of the redeeming things in the movie is Gambit.
If you look at a lot of other forums, there's a lot of people that want Kitch to have another crack at it.
And Kitch also wanted to play Gambit again.
Also, Kitch never really had a good chance to really shine for the role since he was only reduced to a few cameos.

I like Kitch in Friday night lights, Origins, John Carter, Bang Bang Club, and as I mentioned, he's getting rave review on his performance on The Normal Heart.
The thing is, for me, not only did I like him as Gambit...the biggest thing is...he looks the part.

We'er at the opposite end here, I think Tatum sucked in GI Joe, Butchered "21 Jumpstreet"...this is already a big factor to me cause I loved the original show. This movie doesnt have the feel of the old show at all. Why bother calling it 21 Jumpstreet? I also have no desire to watch the dumb Magic Mike movie.
But the biggest thing is he doesnt look the part.

This is the most Tatum has ever looked like Gambit... but he doesn't look like this anymore, his face always looks bloated now a days :(

Hopefully he is on a strict work out for this film and gets his body in shape.

Anybody have any ideas of new females they can bring in for this movie??

I know there's the possibility we will get a young jean and storm, but I'd like to see some new female characters on the screen too since mystique is the only first class female left. Maybe they can give us a proper psylocke, or maybe even dazzler? I have a feeling they may do scarlet witch too :lol

Since it's set in the 80's I think Dazzler could be used.

A better Psylocke is a must and you can't have Pietro and not introduce Wanda at some point.

None of that, not other boards, your mom's opinion, etc, has anything to do with me thinking Kitch is a horrible actor. Again, I said our opinions obviously part on this subject, I mean you made a doll of the dude to look at in a cabinet, obviously youve got some deep feelings for this guy,so it's obvious were not going to come into an agreement on him, there's no middle ground.

That pic actually reminds me of a Lee issue where they're playing B ball. Thats the look to go for, maybe a bit longer hair.

Screw that. I just want that Dazzler Movie where the X-Men and The Avengers and Spider-Man team up in a Post Apocalyptic New York, where Cher and Donna Summer are warring leaders.:lol

Dazzler :lol

I mean she may be a great character, but damn, just the name. :lol
