Hopefully Fox will be the first studio to lock in Joaquin Phoenix for a role.

I think he'd be more likely to join a Fox or Sony Marvel movie than a Disney one as they lock you in for the next decade whereas Fox and Sony aren't so demanding and have less movies scheduled and more time between productions for pet projects which he is more favourable of.

Also, Fox (at least with X-Men) is making more legitimately good, dramatic films. So for someone who considers himself a serious actor, it would make sense to go with them over the funtime Disneyworld-verse of Marvel Studios.

Chloe Moretz And More Eyed For 'Cyclops' And 'Jean Grey' Roles In X-MEN: APOCALYPSE

According to The Wrap, a number of actors are now being eyed for the role of the young Scott Summers and Jean Grey in 2016's X-Men: Apocalypse. Both Chloe Moretz (The Equalizer) and Elle Fanning (Maleficent) are said to be among those who have met with director Bryan Singer recently, though no official offers have been made and a number of other names are still in the mix. Among them are Academy Award nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit). On the Cyclops side of things, three actors have also emerged as possibly being in the running, and they are Ben Hardy (Eastenders), Charlie Rowe (Red Band Society) and Timothee Chalamet (Homeland). Guy on the right looks most like Cyclops to me, in pics where he has hair. None of those females really scream Jean Grey to me, but I would prefer the two on the right. The Hit Girl actress isn't very good IMO. The one in the middle was really good in True Grit.

She really was good in True Grit. I don't think Chloe can play JG, but she definitely can play some hero role. The guy in the middle looks like a spoiled brat.

Boy in the middle does look a bit douchy somehow. One on the left looks like he might be, uh, Singer's pick I think the Hit Girl chick could work well in a Marvel Studios movie. I can see her as Capt. Marvel even.

Haven't seen any of these actors aside from Chloe but casting in the X-franchise has mostly been excellent. I'm confident they'll pick some good ones.

Based on looks any of the girls would fit, for the guys the one on the far right says Cyclops the most to me

Same here, they should have him direct Deadpool, that's seems like a perfect fit for him.

I kind of got the vibe he doesn't like the tone of Singer's X-Men films, because tonally all of Singer's X-Men films are very serious and DOFP was no different, In fact I would say it was pretty much the anti GOTG.
