For some reason I thought he looked kind of funny running out into the forest. Like they held the camera on him too long and it stopped being cool. :lol

Yup. :lol

Also amazing is that Cap's shield and Winter Soldier's arm had more action than anything from this movie. :lol

Magneto needs a boomerang. :lol

Dude I was laughing so much at his helmet I didn't notice. :lol

"He's loose, run for your lives!" :panic:

It was funny how Wolverine looked when he runs out into the wilderness after Jean frees him. Am I the only one that burst out laughing? It's just a funny image, like an escaped mental patient or crackhead.

Yep, see above.

I saw X-Men Apocalypse today around 4:10 standard showing. Didn't feel like seeing it in 3D this time around. Overall in my honest opinion. It's not as bad as most are making the film out to be. I agree with the ones who say " It's Okay" over "Terrible ****". I don't think the movie is **** I think it lacks a little and is a bit slow. Longest x-men film I believe at 2 hours and 27 minutes. as much running time as Civil War. Some parts worked great then others. Here's some of the likes. Prof. X and Magneto amazing. Both James and Michael have captured the roles perfectly, Jennifer Lawrence was better this time around, I hate her as mystique honestly but this time around she was way better then in the last two films. Apocalypse was great in my opinion. I know some of you hated him but honestly he was good. Good job Oscar, Younger Scott and Jean were fantastic for sure as was Nightcrawler. Quicksilver awesome as always, new Storm was cool, Arc Angel was pretty beast but was wasted and Psylocke was honesty boring as ****. Didn't care for her at all and I want to see more Jubilee. Weapon X cameo wasn't needed but I still enjoyed it and captured the comic perfectly I was so happy with it. I think what I was bothered by the most is that there wasn't enough action. It was more talk and dragged a little. Story was solid and you can follow it. I didn't think there were cheesy moments more throwbacks in a way. It had some heart to it but definitely could of been better. I can watch more of these films I think what holds a sentimental value for me with these films is I saw the X-Men films from way back when in the theatres and were some of the first marvel films to come into movie form and I loved them. I believe first class was the only one I didn't see in the theaters. I'm rating it a 7/10. It won't defeat DOFP and FC but still is worth a check out. It shouldn't deserve the ratings it's getting because I think X3 and origins are worst films. Definitely Civil War tops this but Apocalypse tops BVS. That was way worst.

Ok the most cringeworthy scene

Storm asks Apocalypse what he's doing...

Mind u he touches a tv from the 1980s in butt frisking Cairo (a period of time before the InterWebs mind you) and is able to "leeearrrnnn"

I know it's similar to Ultron surfing the web and extracting data from the internet but did they honestly think that adding that scene in Apocalypse was a good idea?

It's worse writing than Power Rangers or most 80s cartoons including Ghostbusters.

Speaking of which was there a Poltergeist nod in the film? When Charles is going to comfort Jean in her sleep, are one of the mutants named Carol Anne?

I think it's time that Wolverine attacks with some cgi assistance, some anime influence, streaks, something more visually dynamic than him just grunting and stabbing, you know something with more flair.

Jackman is just too dry.

Make it more cartoony I don't care anymore, it's been the same attack style for many movies now it's time to evolve, just like Cap, Falcon, WS and Batman have.

X3 isn't canon post DOFP anymore, and yes, a timeline change could very well alter Angel's age, it could alter pretty much anything.

No to the first, it still happened. The Wolverine and DOFP, the very film that changes things, clearly reference its events. It happened. The difference is it ''no longer happens'' in the new timeline. Future Wolverine is the only one who remembers it all.

However, I may know what you're thinking with the second point. Something to do with the butterfly effect?

Yeah, Wolverine should be quick and agile.

Yeah, Black Panther really left him in the dust.

They really need to play up the the fact that Wolverine's claws can cut through anything. He should have been a real terror, hacking through doors, walls, barricades, while the soldiers panicked and tried to get away to no avail. Otherwise he's just an old dude running around with a set of steak knives.

I'll take Wolverine's Weapon X massacre in Apocalypse over that bull**** airport skirmish in Civil War any day of the week.

"Let's gather 12 superpowered beings (well, not Hawkeye and Widow) and make them pointlessly fight (amicably) for 10 minutes while they crack jokes at each other. They'll love it!!!" -Kevin Feige

And naturally, today's masses ate that **** up.

I on the other hand just wanted Cap and Bucky to get on the ****ing plane already so the pointless play fighting could stop.

Leave it to Disney to take the film's biggest set piece, the WAR part on every trailer and poster and turn it into a joke.

Civil War for me is the culmination of Feige's desire to Transformerize the MCU. I gotta give it to him though, he pulled it off with flying colors by delivering massive summer popcorn movies with zero emotional weight that make absurd amounts of money.

In a way "it happened", in another timeline, you're right about that, but in that case; everything is always happening, everywhere.

But in this timeline, no, it didn't happen, in DOFP Logan remembers that stuff, but that stuff didn't happen anymore, anything and everything could've been changed, he could be in a timeline where in said timeline's 80's, Angel was 20 years old or whatever, he could be in a timeline where the earth never formed, etc etc, and The Wolverine happened before DOFP's retcon/reboot, so that one didn't happen either, that's X3's timeline.

The fact that he remembers stuff is a trope of sci-fi/time travel, the Flash has that all the time, memories from other dimensions and timelines, but they always fade away.

And yes to the rest, it's what makes whatever age of whatever character (or whatever change at all for that matter) post DOFP perfectly valid.

Kevin Feige's reaction to the Transformers 3 trailer in 2011:

It is unbelievable. You look at something like that and you go, 'That is gigantic. That is huge. That is awesome. Wow. Boy, we have to equal that.

Kevin Feige on when he'll hire Michael Bay to direct an MCU movie:

I don't know. We will see. Is he really done with Transformers?

Five years later and the MCU has gone full-on Bayformers.

Feige did it with thunderous applause.
