Eh, we're just gonna have to agree to disagree then, as I can't find any common ground with your views. Which is okay, there's no objective truth, we like what we like, there's no "correct" answer. :duff

Agreed :lol

Yeah, Black Panther really left him in the dust.

They really need to play up the the fact that Wolverine's claws can cut through anything. He should have been a real terror, hacking through doors, walls, barricades, while the soldiers panicked and tried to get away to no avail. Otherwise he's just an old dude running around with a set of steak knives.

:lol :lol

Oh man that's funny. :lol

What the hell are you talking about. :lol

Ah man, people bashing Hugh Jackman now? You guys are killing me :lol

Jackman as Wolverine acting wise, absolutely smokes any actor in the MCU. This isn't like the Jennifer Lawrence situation where she's miscast and does a poor acting job in the role, Jackman's Wolverine is more relatable, tame, and yes, he's tall but his acting is so good it overshadows all of that.

Nah, no one is bashing his acting, he's great no doubt about that even if his character is just kind of spinning its wheels now.

But I think it's time for his fighting style to evolve, maybe even his character?

Have you tried not being a Jackman fan boy? :lol

That's disturbing...

I don't see any racist undertones, booty shots, pedos or testicles hanging from Cap's truck. Having lots of CGI ain't akin to Transformers. Hell, if that's your criteria for classifying something as a "TF" movie, then BvS should've broken the meter!

-Explosions? Check.
-Tons of CGI? Check.
-Instances where you can't understand what's going on due to the CGI? Check.

Which, again, is stretching, but I really don't see how CW is a Transformers movie. But eh, to each his own. If you don't like the MCU that's fair enough, but please, don't call the ones who do "mindless drones". We're just folks with a different taste, simple as that. There's no one single, universaly accepted "truth"...

And besides, Bay isn't an awful director. He has just found a niche and stuck with that. If the TF movies bring you billions, why stop maing the same exact thing? He's no artist, but he's certainly not as bad as the internet makes him out to be.

Just for ****s and giggles Bay should be allowed to direct a Hulk movie, hey it would bring in a billion, Marvel would be happy. :lol

Jackman is an awesome actor but his character is just not that interesting in all of X-moofis.
Blame the writers, producers and directors of this poor film franchise.

Jackman in X1: Arrrrrrg!

16 years later Jackman in Apoc: Arrrrrrg!

But those are some really great Arrrrrrg's let me tell you, I am so not disputing that. :lol

*waiting for pturtle to wake up. :panic:

He was the best in X1 and had some moments in X2.
After that it was just the same thing over and over, even in Da Wolvarine.

I wonder with Disney releasing Alice the same weekend as X-Men if they are messing with Fox even though it is a Marvel property.

I mean what other reason is there to release a tent pole movie like Alice against Marvel characters that are owned by another studio.

Agreed, Bay should do a Hulk movie, despite my endless Bay bashing of the past, at least Hulk would get the attention he needs.

Not really sure what to think of this film. The usual stuff that was good remained good like fassneto, McAvoy, quicksilver's scene. While apocalypse and all the "new" characters were pretty flat and boring.

This was pretty much how i felt. There was a lot of buildup but nowhere near enough action. I personally don't think Apocalypse was handled correctly. He was too laid back and relaxed.

Like most people here, the film was just OK for me. All the elements were there, but for some reason, I just didn't really care about the characters or the story that much. I felt the recruitment of the horseman was too quick, and the story was similar to so many others where bad characters become good and good characters become bad. This wasn't even in the same ballpark as Days of Future Past.

I liked Quicksilver. His "scene" was OK though, not as good as DoFP, but I liked his character. I really liked McAvoy and Fassbender. Angel was great before getting his new wings. The last scene was great but was ridiculous that it took 6 X-Men movies to get those looks and then you see them for 1 minute.

He plays Cap perfectly. He's kept all the best qualities of the character without turning into a parody. He could've just been Ultimate Cap, but he evokes the very essence of who Steve Rogers is. And that's no small feat. It's tough being the perfect boy scout and still being an interesting character.

Some don't even try being a boy scout anymore and they are still not interesting :dunno
