Oh man that's funny. :lol

Nah, no one is bashing his acting, he's great no doubt about that even if his character is just kind of spinning its wheels now.

But I think it's time for his fighting style to evolve, maybe even his character?

Have you tried not being a Jackman fan boy? :lol

:lol :lol

The funny thing is while I love Jackman in the role, he's not even my favorite thing about the good movies in the franchise, I really just enjoy the stories bland the world Singer created. FC is probably my fav of the bunch to watch and Jackman is only in it for a few seconds but every time he's on screen he has presence that 99% of the actors playing superheroes just don't have. Downey is probably the only other one, but his acting is nowhere near as good as Jackman's in my opinion even though both roles are absolutely different.

As far as his action scenes go, I still think X2 was a perfect example for Jackman's more grounded capabilities as the character. He used his senses, he was stealthy, quick, and brutal. In apocalypse the scene is good but a bit not as good as X2 scene because of how its shot. Singer just might have been back on coke when he making this movie I don't know :lol

Jackman is an awesome actor but his character is just not that interesting in all of X-moofis.
Blame the writers, producers and directors of this poor film franchise.

This franchise has basically kicked off this whole superhero craze and the fact that it's still successfully going after almost 20 years is pretty incredible.

He was the best in X1 and had some moments in X2.
After that it was just the same thing over and over, even in Da Wolvarine.

Each movie outside of Origins shows a different side to his character, I don't see how X1, X2, and DOFP he's the same character? He basically takes the role of Professor X in DOFP.

By the way, even though I love Jackman in the role, I would have no qualms with him being recasted like he inevitably will be. But I really think people take for granted how good he is in the role.

I know it came out first but I don't think it's the reason so many other superheroes got greenlit soon after. It was an R rated hyper violent vampire movie starring a character most people weren't familiar with at all. X-Men really put superheroes movies on the map because they were A list superheroes taken seriously for the first time in live action, plus I believe X1 received far better reviews and made a significant amount more at the BO. It just had a greater impact compared to Blade.

Jackman's grunting and growling superior to Ben Kingsley portraying two separate accents in a dual role?

But I agree with pturtle about Blade. It was riding the wave of 90's vampire movies (from Bram Stoker to Interview with a Vampire) but added guns and cool trenchcoats. Blade paved the way for The Matrix, X-Men paved the way for Spider-Man and everything else.

I thought the movie was OK. Apoc was wasted in this film. As a character his motivations were all over the place and not consistent. Not a fan of the way they altered the Weapon X origin of Wolvie. IMO, it cheapens the history of the character. In the end I will say that this wasn't FF horrible but it was mediocre for me personally. My recommendation is to catch this on video and save a couple of bucks.

What the hell are you talking about. :lol

This:

Just for ****s and giggles Bay should be allowed to direct a Hulk movie, hey it would bring in a billion, Marvel would be happy. :lol

Make it so, someone.

Agreed, Bay should do a Hulk movie, despite my endless Bay bashing of the past, at least Hulk would get the attention he needs.

Feige's dream of a Bayformers MCU is now complete.

Kingsley was great. I don't like that movie or care about his character but yea, that might have been the best performance in the MCU.

Just finished watching a movie called Animal Kingdom, and I think I just found a perfect replacement for Jackman. Joel Edgerton. Guy grows a great beard, he's short, compact, an incredible actor and it doesn't hurt to have another talented Australian play Wolvey. He's also not really a household name yet either.

I don't think Hugh will be replaced anytime soon. It'll be a few years. The problem with joel is he isn't young, that guy's 41 years old. :lol

Well Hugh is retiring from the role next year but yea, Joel is a bit too old to play him since trilogies don't really exist anymore even though Wolverine consistently in the comics had the look of a man in his 40s. But if Affleck can play Batman at an older age, then maybe there's hope.

Unfortunatley by the time Hugh is finished with the role and a new X-Men movie gets made he'd be about 44 at least.

But damn would he make a great Wolverine.

I just saw it and maybe my expectations were low but I enjoyed it. Sure it felt more like tv series level of writing and cgi at times but I expected worse of it. I thought it was rather good...I'd give it a 7 out of 10. I understand the critics score but I'm surprised to see it so loathed on here. Not the worst comic book movie of the year imo. Probably second to last but it I loved the intro and I thought magneto, Jean grey, Scott, and quicksilver were great. Havoc too. Disappointed mostly in psulocke.

I kind of felt it was odd though that apocalypse never sensed Jean's power or potential, especially after being linked to Xavier.
