I hope they give Storm the mohawk. Maybe since they picked a new and pretty unknown actress she would be more willing to shave her head and do the mohawk

That would be cool. Would be good to see her as a rebellious street teen to contrast with her responsible adult self

Just noticed something curious. On Sideshows facebook page there's no mention of the casting.

As far as I can see they've reported on announcements, castings, logos, posters, trailers, premieres, box office and so forth on all other Marvel movies and plenty of DC movie news but posted nothing from X-Men Days of Future Past, X-Men Apocalypse, Gambit or Deadpool.

Very strange since Sideshow have had great success with their X-Men statues and they report on essentially all other Marvel/DC movies except this particular franchise

In my opinion Scarlet is doing a terrible job with BW, so that comparison scares me

If Shipp is somewhat talented she should be able to pull off an accent. Halle's accent was terrible and she was probably too vain or lazy to work on it, which is probably why it was dropped in subsequent flicks. Not to mention the hair getting worse. I was never a fan of Storm's mohawk look. But ultimately it depends on how the character design and background comes together--will she be worshipped by a tribe as African goddess or a streetkid in Cairo (I'm thinking the latter as it will fit more easily into the Egypt location). Maybe they will do one side shaved or something. Just hope it looks good. Sophie Turner looks spot on perfect as Jean and has really shown range as Sansa in GoT. I also like that Jean is finally going to be an actual natural redhead. Sheridan was good in Mud, so will be interesting to see how he embodies Cyclops. He's listed as 5'8", but at 18 he's still growing and maturing.

Sophie Turner looks spot on perfect as Jean and has really shown range as Sansa in GoT. I also like that Jean is finally going to be an actual natural redhead.

Sophie is actually a natural blonde but her hair will certainly look more natural and better than Famkes.

Agreed, the dyed blonde will look more natural and she's been convincingly sporting the color for years. Never know who's a natural redhead these days -- I think Emma Stone and Jessica Chastain for sure, but not sure about others like Christina Hendricks and Juliana Moore. My wife was a redhead when I met her, which was one of the first things I was attracted to. She has since gone back to blonde. The old bait and switch.

That's true, its something most people wanted though once we found out Halle wasn't coming back, but as long as she does a good job and can act, then I'll be happy.

Ha! Sleeping Wolvey's scream was more entertaining than anything Scarjo has done as BW. He did fight a Sentinel though, he just happened to get his ass kicked.

I have a feeling she isn't that talented. Her resume isn't really good at all, and the last movie she starred where she was the lead is famous for being horrible. I hope I'm wrong though.

I'm totally on board with Tye Sheridan playing Cyclops, he has the most talent of the three. Turner I'm fine with, I haven't see her at her best because I haven't kept up with GOT but I do think some of the other rumored choices were better.

I don't don't think we'll be seeing anymore of them after this movie though, I think I remember reading an interview where Kinberg said this will be the final movie of the prequels, so if they jump ahead I doubt they could keep the younger Cyclops, Jean, and Storm.

October Jones definitely was a bad pick. Apparently she's also a *****, so seems like either a recast of Emma down the road or no more Emma.

I agree, still doesn't mean she doesn't do a ****** job at playing the character. Jennifer Lawrence just happens to be slightly worse.
