After Apocalypse they will focus on the actual X MEN team? Which version, the Singer team (X Men 2000 actors) or First class cast...with Jackman (again)?

Thats what I’m unsure of. With Colossus playing a major role in Deadpool, and the Wolverine sequel featuring Patrick Stewart, my guess is they’re going with Singer’s team after Apocalypse. I hope I’m wrong though.

Some production art. #XmenApocalypse #GrantMajor I was a little busy but will continue to snap more

Don't know about you guys but my jaw is resting on my floor

Not sure what it's supposed to be. I'm waiting for them to announce Angel being cast so there can be an Angel/archangel in the storyline.

Looks like a lot of yellow on the guy with some pointy things on his head. Comic suit Wolverine?

Well pointy hair at least. I don't think we will see a Jackman Wolverine in a mask. Most of the X-men don't wear masks in the comics as I recall. if AOA is the swan song for the Singerverse X-men I wonder if FOX might not simply be planning to sell the rights back for a hefty sum rather than rebooting. Rebooting any franchise can be risky and FOX has already cashed in. They could sell the rights back to Disney and pocket a billion or so with zero risk. That would be enough to launch four or five new franchises. I guess part of it depends on how FF performs and of course if AOA ends up being a megahit.

Fox has 3 X-Men films coming out next year, then a Wolverine/Professor X team up film in 2017. Then they plan on integrating the F4 into the X-Men universe, so I think Fox is in it for the long haul, but to be honest, if Apocalypse was the end of the FoX-Men and it turns out to be a satisfying ending, I'll be happy enough to not care whether Marvel gets the rights back or not. I just like Singer and Vaughn's take on the X universe.

So long as they keep a good creative team on board, I would prefer the X-Men not go over to Marvel Studios. If that were to happen, they'll be lucky to get a single movie every 4 years or so, and some cameos in the big crossover films. Wolvie would probably get his own series again, but. . .still. X-Men deserve more than that. They shouldn't be hamstrung by thinking about crossover movies 5-7 years down the road, where this or that plot element has to be integrated. And more is better, so in my mind, the current strategy of adding more spinoffs is a very good thing in theory (even though Channing Gambit sounds like a baaaad idea on its surface). But if we ever get to the point where we consistently see mundane, forgettable movies on the order of X3 or Origins, then I would rather just see good X-movies done less often, where the team plays second fiddle to the Avengers and Spidey over at Marvel Studios.

Part of it depends on Fox's longer term strategy. They've announced a bunch of movies but they haven't built a proven cinematic universe yet, and while DoFP did well, the jury is still out on Fantastic Four and Deadpool. So wouldn't say they have it figured out just yet. Gambit has yet to go in front of the camera. Deadpool might be mostly a standalone, and I've read they are still trying to figure out if they can or even want to make an x-men FF crossover. And you never know if they will go after Time Warner again and take over DC in the process.

Yea that's true. Depending on budget, Gambit could be one of the riskiest superhero films to make, since he really shouldn't have his own movie, at least not before some of the other characters that Fox have the rights too. I think all 3 Fox films would have to be absolutely horrible before they consider dealing with Marvel. Even if Deadpool and Gambit turn out to be crap, if Apocalypse is great, then I think people will still want more FoX-Men films.

I felt that DOFP was a crossover film though, it brought in two different timelines with two different sets of cast, everything seems to be branching off from that. It was kind of the BvS of the X-Men films.
