Nice!

Not familiar with him at all. So far we have a pretty good team so far, I'm hoping Angel will be casted next.

Angel definitely needs to be in there, even if he's introduced immediately as Archangel.

**** Yeah :yess:

Psyched to see Nightcrawler back. Wonder if Singer can top the legendary action scene from X2

He'll sure as hell will try. Quicksilver's sequence was a huge step up from that, so it's entirely possible.

Cool that they are adding Nightcrawler. I think you could have a scene or two with Warren as Angel to establish the pre-transformation character as this rich, handsome somewhat arrogant playboy type with this glorious set of angel wings. But then have him kidnapped and turned into Archangel, which should be darker and more grotesque than in the comics.

Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Wolverine, and Nightcrawler. . .awesome. Too bad Colossus isn't likely to be in the mix, and Banshee's apparently done.

Totally agree. Nightcrawler has always been a favorite of mine ever since Giant Size X-Men #1. :yess: :woo

Sucks that Colossus and Banshee aren't included.

At least we'll be getting Colossus on the big screen in the same year.

I don't think we should have Jubilee alongside the teenage originals. But I want to see Jubilee in one of these movies soon.

I'd imagine they will still have a hand in the future. Don't see how else you go about doing apocalypse in the 80's when it's been established that Wolverine came back to a post '00.

If they still have to deal with futures, I'd like to see Jubilee. Even just as a nod for her. Unless we can expect another film after Apocalypse to deal with the 90's. :slap :lol

Yeah, none of the continuity makes sense. I mean, Nightcrawler? He was some religious sideshow freak on X2.

Wanna throw Jubilee in there? Go right ahead. She was in X-Men and X2, but who cares.

If you don't count X-Men Origins (I don't think these movies do) then continuity isn't that bad at all.

This movie is giving us most of the real first class, and there's already a large cast, no need to throw in mutants that won't really service the story. Save Jubilee for one of the 5 other X-Men projects they have in development.

There were plenty of chances to put Jubilee into these films (in a main role) but they chose not too, this probably wouldn't be the movie to do it.

I'd rather have Psylocke than Jubilee. It would be great to have her as Angel's love interest pre-transformation. And then helplessly watching as he is turned into a grotesque evil archangel controlled by Apocalypse. Sort of a tragic love story. Yes I have an obsession with making sure Angel is in. And he should be I the same age range as Scott, Jean and Storm. As for Psylocke she should be Asian, not a muddled backstory of a British woman's mind in the body of a ninja assassin.
Anyway great to see how the cast is shaping up. A few more character announcements will be most welcome-the afore mentioned Angel and Psylocke, somehow getting Iceman in, even recast as a 15-year old, and Bishop coming back from the future. I'm not sure what the plan is for Gambit, if he'll be in this one or just a standalone. A longshot possibility would be to cast a younger actor to play him in AoA and then have the Channing Tatum version do a standalone set in the present. Would also be nice to see Rogue but not sure they can make that work in the timeline.

Psylocke would be great. I have a bad feeling Angel won't be in this but I hope I'm wrong. Your idea for the tragic love story between them two would be awesome, but it sounds like we'll be getting some tragic love story with Magneto and Mystique or Beast and Mystique unfortunately. I don't think this movie can afford two tragic love stories while facing off against Apocalypse.

I don't think Gambit is showing up in this, maybe a cameo at the end to lead into his movie or something could work though.

And in this he'll be a younger but altered version of that character, since he'll have met the X-Men as a teen instead of as an adult

Continuity is simple.

(Old) Timeline 1: XFC > XMO > X1 > X2 > X3 > TW > DOFP(future)
(New) Timeline 2 : XFC > DOFP(past) > Apocalypse > ???????

I'm fine with Magneto's speech on national television changing the course of most/all mutants' lives. You could see that it was really getting to the mutants who were tuning in and would have otherwise lived out their lives in shame and hiding. Not that I care how Apocalypse matches up with X1 and X2 anyway but I could see the butterfly effect of the White House showdown changing everything/one going forward.
