So after Rachel dies he quit ? Thats out of character right their like it or not he made a promise to rid the city of crime .

No, he quits to take the blame for killing Dent, so that he can remain the “White Knight” of Gotham, then the Dent act was created. Rachel had nothing to do with is retirement as Batman. Just look how anxious he was to get back to fighting crime as soon as Bane arrives.

If Voidcat couldn't convince anyone that TDKR was an appropriate follow up to TDK and a good movie, no one can. :lol

What happened to him.

I understand Nolan wanted to do something different but they drop the ball with Bane he was a henchman at the end Taila was villain which i didn't mind but people hated that.

I didn’t see him as a henchman at all. Even her never talking to her father again because of he treated Bane showed they had some sort of mutual relationship. But like I said that does kind of fit the comics. There were several occasions Talia had Bane doing things for her.

That is your opinion, I have no problem with that. But that would mean you think BB and TDK suck, and a lot of people consider TDK one of the best superhero movies ever.

Actually, I think Batman Begins is, to date, the best Batman movie produced. Not sure how you came to the conclusion you did. The film established Batman's "ninja" training as well as opened the door for a new franchise that could easily have carried over several films if only Nolan had remained somewhat faithful to the character (vs. be completely embarrassed by it as Bale eludes to in interviews now). TDK I think is HIGHLY overrated as it's too busy and indecisive on whether it's a Joker or 2-Face movie given it's supposed to be about the rise and fall of Harvey Dent, but the Joker has more screentime. TDKR is a mess. If Nolan couldn't handle Ledger's death, he should've handed the film off to somebody else. Personally, I think JGL should've picked up the clown shoes and run with Ledger's take instead of being a halfassed, stupid version of "Robin."

I came to that conclusion because him not being Batman forever, but Batman being an everlasting legend all came from Batman Begins. TDKR executed on that,
I have to disagree with most of what you said about the TDK. I like Batman Begins better, but I think TDK is actually the better movie, if that makes sense.
And thank god you weren’t the director because your plan for the Joker makes me cringe :lol

They make you cringe, but MOST thought JGL was assuming the mantle of Joker when rumors about him being cast started circulating and all but the most obsessed Ledger fanboys, thought he fit. :dunno

I only like the first one. I liked the Donner version of the second one, and found MOS to be quite underwhelming.

Why was Joker so needed? He served his purpose. You don’t recast a character like that after an Oscar winning performance unless it was really needed. The director thought it would be wrong to even mention him, let alone recast him. Also I think it would have been absolutely impossible for JGL and the film work. A lot of people would be complaining now I’m sure. You can’t please everyone I guess :dunno

Just because they look alike doesn’t mean they act alike. I think Ben Affleck looks like Bruce Wayne, but he isn’t even in my top 50 first choices to play him.

Why not recast the character hes bigger then the actor.

Nothing wrong with recasting him, but a role like how Heath played Joker would be tough. It isn’t like recasting Paul Walker in the FF franchise. The Joker is a lot tougher to play I would assume and a lot more iconic. These days Heath’s Joker, is just as popular as the Joker himself or slightly less.

It could actually hinder the movie more than help it if they would have recasted him, especially if he wasn’t needed.

Brandon Routh still takes heat for being a Reeves impersonation, even though he was recasted almost 30 years later.

The Wolverine was great...

TDKR was a turd to anyone being even slightly objective.

:exactly:

I thought Wolverine was a great watch, I really went into it expecting crap but I really did enjoy it.

TDKR was a complete flop to me, Bane with his Sean Connery impression and the ruin Batman's character has become... ugh.
