Yea I agree it wont its not coming off a mega blockbuster or anything like how IM3 did .
What mega blockbuster did Skyfall, The Dark Knight, Avatar, come off of?

Avatar is one of the highest grossing films of all time... and next to no one bought Jake. Success in the box office doesn't immediately guarantee Hot Toys sales.
Or you could also compare it to the Avengers where even a character like Phil Coulson sold out.
Also Jake Sully didn’t do well because of the exposed joints. I also don’t know many people that actually care about Avatar that much. I think it was popular because of the 3d tech it was pushing at the time.
I think the level of CGI on the Sentinels will make or break the film.
It might they need to be awesome they have to be a threat to the mutants I just dunno what to expect hopefully they don't take them down so easy.
That would be very ballzy to do but I'm sure even if that were to happen, whatever is changed in the past would avert that.
Love for him to die fighting in the future.
You reeeeeeeally need to stop huffing your own poo. Seriously, comparing a z-list character from what looks to be a mediocre film with the 3rd highest grossing film (adjusted Kara so lay off) of all time?! There aren't enough fanboys to drop the cash HT would charge for a midget on likely a QC-riddled body and a purple and white blowdryer figure. For the limited run, they'd have to be around $500+ and there's no re-use value in developing either unique body, really. HT doesn't have the license for LOTR or Hobbit and outside of Leprechaun (which is irrelevant as HT doesn't do American Horror), I don't see another viable license for the small body. Same goes for the stupid Sentinel as well.
Generic bodies only requiring a unique sculpt are one thing. But these would need to be completely isolated, non-reusable one-offs. Bad business all the way around. They pushed the envelope with Hulk, but rumor has it they compensated with mark-ups on the rest of the Avengers, and we've already seen a re-release of Hulk with the Ex Banner only because Hulk sold out completely. But neither of your z-listers compare to the popularity of the Hulk, so even that comparison is irrelevant.
It would be interesting seeing him take a blast from a Sentinel for another team member and his flesh vaporizes. I'm pretty sure that happens in the comic version of DOFP.
Trask: Z class character/A class actor
Coulson: Z class character/ d class actor
Seems about equal to
Me. With everything hot toys makes I think they can make a miniature body.
If the movie is an all around success the figures will sell.
I think your whole last post was just a waist of time and a
Stretch for
You to
Just say something negative.
We'll pretend Coulson isn't a popular character for sake of argument. Bottom line, it's all about business, an aspect you don't understand with film and clearly don't understand with collectibles. In order for a company to invest in making unique bodies for figures, there has to be either the ability to reuse it, or enough of a profit on price to justify it. Coulson was slapping a unique head, adding a unique gun and reusing accessories, a suit pattern, etc., onto a TrueType they've already not only used on dozens of figures already, but also sold nude to kitbashers. This means they've already gotten their money's worth and Coulson is a "minimal risk investment." Especially at the limited edition size they produced. However, producing two entirely new bodies that have zero reuse value, two heads, new hands, clothing patterns, etc., for two unique figures is NOT a good investment unless they charge a phenomenal price tag. I highly doubt you'd buy at $600+. And even if you would, there wouldn't be enough to justify the research and development and production. They just don't make enough profit on a risk like that for it to be cost effective.
My last post wasn't a waste, I just didn't think I needed to spell it out for you so clearly. Lesson learned.
And the movie being an "all around success" means jack ****. Once again, I point to Avatar. Movie is the highest grossing of all time (unadjusted), and yet that figure didn't sell. The Sentinel would have to be about that same height, so look at that price, then add another $50 for FOX licensing and another $200 for your midget guy.
The whole point I am making is if the movie is successful, and the character is a stand out, a figure will eventually get made of him. I don’t remember people going crazy about Jack Sully. And Sam Worthington doesn’t seem to be a liked man either. I would be very comfortable buying a figure of not only a character I liked in a film, but of the actor as well.
Hell they make the bodies, and use it on Rocket Raccoon, you know he will be made sooner or later.
Also bundling him with a Sentinel would be perfect and most likely sell really well depending on the film.
Tell you what. You keep crying about this, Nova can keep crying about the MIA FC figures, and we'll all pick up the DofP Wolverine when HT makes him and then moves on to do another Iron Man variant and another Nolan Batman.
Id buy a DOFP Wolverine. Past or future, both look cool.
