For the life of me, I can't see what people mean when they say the face is too long? The shape is very austere, befitting Strange. I guess I could understand if someone were viewing his body as swaddled in the cloth of his clothes and thinking the entire head looks too big, but I see his body proper being just under the clothing, thus making the head the right size. It's all perspective, I suppose.

*I'm thinking that an optical illusion from the cloak is at fault. You have to remember that his shoulders rise up and sit just beneath the top of the cloak.

For the life of me, I can't see what people mean when they say the face is too long? The shape is very austere, befitting Strange. I would like to see an up close front on pic of him with the updated head. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Always either at a distance or on an angle.

Although friends I know who have seen this is person are saying the sculpt is at Magneto level. Should be good.

I'm looking forward to it, as well. The paint app definitely looks flat and bland from the pictures, but I'm assuming that's because of the glass and such.

I took one of the pics you had up and played with the head sculpt a little bit.


Not quite what I would like exactly but it's closer. What I did:
1. I shortened the head, it was a little too long.
2. I rounded the jawline a bit
3. I widened the eyes
4. I brought the hairline down a tad
5. I reduced the nose size, it was bit too bulbous for my liking.
6. I reduced the forehead lines, some of them just went straight across the head

Like I said, it's not exactly what I'd like but it's a few changes I'd make to the existing sculpt.

The view looking up seems right. I'm thinking it's probably coz his cloak collar is drawn more wildly and much bigger in comics.

I think 3 & 6 make it a little better. I like the larger nose, and, sorry, I still don't see what's wrong with the size of the head. If anything, it looks too small in your adjusted pic to me.

I actually measured it as best I could using the "head measurement" system, it's used in drawing in proportion. Since he's sitting it's a little difficult but the average male figure is about 8 heads tall, that's including the one he's supposed to have. So From the bottom of Strange's chin, to the top of his groin you should be able to fit 3 heads. When I tried this measurement with the current head I could only fit 2, which is what lead me to reduce it's size. Even taking into a account that his mouth is slightly open and that the figure is at a slight angle, it's still too big to be in proportion with the rest of his body.

It would be nice to see a straight on picture at a flat level to get a better idea of the proportions.
