So I'm guessing here... they can't make him look as good as Marvel did with Thanos given the current timeframe and budget of the Snyder Cut release, so they modified him to look more alien/unreal so that it won't get caught in the uncanny valley.

The CGI for the main villain of the entire 4 hour epic is definitely the best place to cut corners on, lol.

I believe Darkseid is in a flashback scene that's in the trailer and at the very end when Grumpy Wolf is defeated, so it's more like a cameo to tease the possibility of a battle against DS. So my guess is a boom tube will open and Darkseid will take Grumpy with him, then he'll tell the JL, "You ain't bad, you ain't nothin'! You ain't nothin'!" and walk away back to his planet with Grumpy Wolf.

Hmmmm good theory! Only I thought the Snyder Cut would complete his DCU vision which would mean the DS battle would never come to pass.

Zurdo, you should watch BvS director's Cut, it's much better than the theatrical cut, and quite an excellent movie IMHO.

Yes, definitely the one to watch. IMO the restored scenes don't make it excellent, but at least (relatively speaking) there's some semblance of continuity in the plot.

Will take note, I'll add to my list of movies to watch, still have to get around to OT SW
