Stephen Hawking was actually often at the cinema to watch movies back in the day, saw him quite a few times. I have to wonder if he actually watched this movie on the big screen......

R2-D2 saved our hero’s multiple times and both were the audience’s eyes for the introduction of the first film.
Both were Much more important and thought out characters than Blue Fish man and “Holiday special guest” mech girl.

TBH don't think she does. Watching con footage, gotta wonder if everyone cheering anything anyone said ("Yas, yas"!) are all delirious; sick from eating overpriced junk food, needing a restroom, the massive BO from other overheated con-goers, injured from Furries dressed like Ewoks who are too friendly, etc. who would cheer anything by that time.
It's not a male/female thing, but pretty sure I wouldn't have a Cara Dune statue today if she had hollered "down with the Patriarchy!" and John Favreau had sobbed "and when I was a 'wee lad, I got that empty HASBRO figure box and Mom had to take me for ice cream *sobs harder*. WTF
So yeah, all of this IS Disney con-goers fault.
Just for lolz my son and I watched the Critical Drinker breakdowns and then when we watched another review he laughed and said that it was weird hearing the actual characters' names because he was so used to hearing "Strong Female Character" and "Strong Female Antagonist."
