Weapon X PF

Looks like we got a Weapon X PF reveal today. I'm all over this if it looks good. It's the last 1/4 Wolverine I need for my collection.

This seems to be a Martin Canale sculpt. Can't wait to see the full reveal.

I really hope they just go Naked covered with wires and the boxes! Do we know when a full reveal might be?

BWS's Weapon X is my favorite comic work. The use of the shorts is a disgrace. I refuse to buy anything with the shorts, so I'm crossing my fingers too.
I don't think we've had a nude statue since that art asylum piece. It's is beautiful, but very outdated.

Agreed! It’s a phenomenal book! The new deluxe edition is beautiful.

I have the art asylum piece and yeah you’re right it’s very outdated.

I need to see more. Is there a glass tube? What does the lower body and the base look like? Is there a light up feature? What I'm desperately hoping for is a switch out portrait. I need a portrait with Logan wearing a helmet with the red visor. These questions will all play a part as to whether or not I PO this PF.

I doubt he'd be wearing the helmet while underwater. He only wore that during the simulated training sessions in the wilderness, not while he was in a tube.

If I remember correctly, they did have him wearing it in the tube. I think they also used it to wipe his mind and for his new memory implants.

The helmet is only in one chapter, and he only wears it outside in the snow.

I think we remember it more cause of that iconic cover.

Still want it. He had his memories erased and false memories implanted. The helmet could've been used for more than training exercises. No helmet, no sale for me personally. I'll pick up the XM Weapon X instead if it comes down to it.

The helmet is kind of a moot point, unfortunately. Prime1 already did a statue with him escaping the tube with the helmet on.

In MCP it was just a glorified antenna. He was shown without the helmet in other parts of the book when under analog and broadcast physical and mental control and conditioning. It was only used in the part of the story when they are pushing for the longest operational range.

After that I think it was retconned into other things... like stolen "yautja" technology. Groan.

Psi-borg (Aldo Ferro) was responsible for the mind wiping and false memories.

Still want a helmet option. If not, I'll be picking up the XM Weapon X instead.

I think Iron Studios just revealed one with a swappable helmet option. Might even light up.

Yes, unfortunately though, I believe that statue is 1/10 scale.
