I’m at the point where every new figure that arrives gets inspected then put into storage.

Future planning the collection for when I get more space hopefully in the next couple years :lol

I'm in a similar point. I rotate the display a bit, but planning for the future. With how some of these figures go for down the line, I'd rather pay for it at retail now.

Sounds insane, but I get it. I really do.

I've been doing it for years with the PF statues, I have a room in mind, I just can't do it right now lol. I don't like a cluttered display either. It does suck opening something up and then just packaging it back up, but it is what it is I guess. In 5 years hopefully its all worth it lol.

I've missed out on a few things (first 1/4 Grievous comes to mind) over the years so if I see something that fits the vision, I'll pick it up.

Sideshow with the comedic timing.

I’d doubt I’d even be able to give my SS Grievous away now.

I guess it could be good fodder for anyone looking to make a heavily battle damaged version.

I don’t have the headroom ( or any dimension really) to make full use of the display potential here, but I can’t help but want the obviously superior version.

Now's the time to sell... before this news spreads to the young ebayers.

Or, you could set it on fire and record it...

Would Kit not be a quicker shipper based on his location or is that wishful thinking?
He's who I had in mind. I've been more than happy with his service so far.
Kit doesn't get HT as fast as someone like Timcent. I ordered the mustard Daredevil and got it about 2 weeks after it dropped, but same time SSC sent out invoices for it.

I also have Kang ordered with him and haven't heard anything on him yet. He dropped in late June.

Getting from HK, I personally would rather have the customer service from Kit and get slightly before SSC, then possibly be up the creek without a paddle with some of the others if there is an issue.

As a Prequels fanboy who hails Revenge of the Sith as my favorite film of all time, I’ve been waiting for a Hot Toys ROTS General Grievous for a damn while now and it finally happened!! Probably one of the best and most shocking announcements by Hot Toys for me. Rolling eyes too? C’mon.

I’ve pondered on how I’d display him and I think I’m still set on usually having him with the cape with 1-2 sabers ignited (would work great as I plan on giving an extra random hilt to AOTC Anakin). Wish Hot Toys had taken pictures of him with the cape and hunched over look. Oh well, looks like we’ll have to wait until it’s in collectors’ hands.

Crazy drop… I’ve been scrolling through the photos quite a bit today.

It's fun to read how others plan to display their Grievous. :) Shows variety within us collectors. For me, he'll always be posed with 4 lightsabers.

I have NO figures or statues on display… All 100 or so boxed up. I do feel a bit bad doing so, but I enjoy and want to display them in a future setting.

But it’s for sure capital destruction, sadly, and I wonder if someone else would put them to better use than me. Perplexed.

I know your pain.
I have all my vintage figures and ships out, along with the POTF coins.
I've been buying inbetween Hot toys.
I usually rotate the displays but...
The Hot toys have been boxed up in the hope for future potential to display in my 2 storey home.

Feel free to send them to me… for storage purposes…

Yeah I wouldn't feel bad about this. Mine are boxed up also. I'm in the middle of a house build which will take a long time and I have designated places for the figures once its done, so all my figure purchases for now are for future enjoyment. Nothing wrong with it. Collect your way

If you were collecting with no intention of ever opening them, I'd question why I was even buying them or does it provide any joy whatsoever

Just to get a rough estimate for pricing for the "regular batch" but the "first batch" red coin edition with some sellers from HK are currently being offered at USD$385/AUD$580/£313.

From my experience for the GBP costs, the "regular batch" is usually about £30-40 cheaper, so maybe somewhere in the £260-300 range directly from HK.

Please A: write me into your will and B: enjoy some very dangerous thrills... pleeeeeeeeeease....

Just kidding, I don't have the space to inherit your collection and I much prefer you alive and posting :)

But still put me in your will. For the giggles.

Sometimes dreaming and planning the display is half of the fun. I have a notebook at work that sketch out potential displays for future figures that use when I’m supposed to be listening during staff meetings.
